One man will say, "It's this way." Another one say, "It's this way." One's got a teaching; one's got a doctrine; one's got a song; one's got a tongue. And the American people are the worst confused of any nation I know of in the world. That's awfully hard to say. And now, but it's the truth. We got to face facts.

And so I believe that--that Rosella will finally turn into the mission fields somewhere; because America doesn't want the Gospel (you know that), we just might as well admit that. This Anglo-Saxon people, it's finished, that's all. There's no more Gospel that America will receive. Oh, you get a few stragglings now and then; but just as the Gospel, it's over. And you can't even preach to them, can't talk to them. They won't believe nothing. See? They just got their own hard-headed ideas, and they're set, and the next thing's for this nation is judgment. She's going to have it, too. It may be through depression, it may be through an atomic bomb, it may be through a great plague, a disease or something; but she's ready. It's a-coming; thousands times thousands will fall.

There's no certainty in national security any more, because you can't dig far enough under the earth to keep them from blowing you out. You can't--there's nothing to do. We're just at the end of the road. And we take then and some of the other things there's no certainty.

When God sends forth a message and tells the people, and they don't receive it, then He withdraws His servant and sends His plagues: famine, death, spiritually speaking, physically also. You watch for a depression, brother. You think you've seen something; you just wait after while. You haven't seen nothing. You think you're dying for a good spiritual revival; you wait till after a bit. You just wait, long and cry to hear the Word of God. The Bible said so. "There'll be a famine in the last days," said the prophet, "and not for bread and water alone, but for hearing the true Word of God." But that voice will be quiet in the wilderness somewhere, hid away.

He ordained the ravens, His servants. Bless them birds, His servants, that kept the voice of--of Elijah alive during the time of his--his isolation from the church. The ravens brought him flesh and bread at morning, and flesh and bread in the evening, and he drank from the little fountain while the rest of them down there were doing without any spiritual food and water.

Education is at the end. Juvenile delinquency is at the end. Children, there ain't no hopes for children, they done gone insane. You can't have no education. You can't go down here at the school and have, get a kid with education. He's a--he's a twofold child more of hell when he comes out than he is when he goes in. Let the teacher say something about it, he'll get killed, they'll form a little cluck and go out there and shoot the teacher, take him out and string him up. We lost two thousand teachers. Oh, wait a minute, I believe, twenty thousand teachers, this last year. I don't blame them. I wouldn't want to do it either. Now, they got signs up every time, "Give college education to these kids." They do need it, but the Devil's got them. The Devil's got them. And it's not only just normal to go out and be mean and--and--and take a gate off and hang it up in a tree on Halloween night, or do some little meanness like kids used to do, or take a farmer's buggy and set it out in the road, not like that; but they're insane. They do things that's insanity; shoot you, kill you, and murder you, poison you, anything. That's the next generation.

If we're sensible, what would we do? What would the--the Pentagon, what would the--the--the nation do? It would surrender. They'd have to. Then what would happen? Wave after wave of Russian soldiers would climb into our country, here, ravishing our women, taking your homes, and kicking you out in the street, and shoot you, and kill your children before you, and take over the nation. Then we'd know what sin... How we've been... What it meant to laugh in the face of a religious service, and call them a bunch of holy-rollers, or... Remember, it's coming.

There's no national security. We--we're--we're at--we're at--we're Belshazzar's feast, again. They thought because they were inside those big walls, the best of--of the scientists, the best chariots... They could run three or four chariots abreast around the wall of Babylon and--and without moving a--losing a horse or a chariot. And the great big gates, that was probably half a--a forty-fifty feet wide, like that. There was no nation could get to them, or anything else, so they just lived in sin, any way they wanted to. But God can look over the top of the wall.

Look at our billboards: women standing out with cigarettes in their hand, every little Jezebel in the country... Why, I went to the... The other day I seen a strange thing: there was one woman that (I come over to the school out there to get the kids, when I went over to get them)--that didn't have on a pair of shorts, and it freezing weather. Every one of them with cigarette... As soon as they get there and stop, if they didn't have a cigarette, they'd light it right quick and [Brother Branham makes a sound like blowing smoke out--Ed.] "See how I'm getting along?" Holding that hand out the door like this with a cigarette in their hand... And you say something to them, oh, they blow up. Sure.

You say something to Ricky, or Elvis, or one of them out there, they'd shoot you. And the government would back them up, 'cause they're only teen-agers. "Well, that's all right. They was--they didn't understand. They're teen-agers; overlook it."

Now, you see what a true prophet means? His way?

46-3 WAY.OF.A.TRUE.PROPHET JEFF.IN V-3 N-14 62-0513M

Look at these filthy dreamers in the churches with their denomination, they'd shoot you right in the back. The only thing keeps them from doing it is the mercy of God till the Message is got out. The devil will kill you, if he could do it. That's right. But the Message has got to go. "I, the Lord, will restore." That's right. "I'll--able of these stones to rise it." That's right. All right.

47-4 EASTER.SEAL PHOENIX.AZ V-2 N-6 65-0410

I've got dangerous perils in front of me. I know it. See? And I meet with heathens who'd shoot you the same as taking a drink of water. And you're just paid for it; you come on their grounds; devils that have challenged you on the Bible just as easy, but I've never seen the time but what our God won the victory. I go in His Name, in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Hope of Eternal Life, the Resurrection and the Life.

"He that liveth and believeth in Me, though he were dead yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die." I believe that to be God's eternal Word. Do you believe the same? Will you pray for me? I'll pray for you.

167 EVERLASTING.LIFE JEFF.IN V-26 N-12 54-1231

And God could ever get a man and women today in this tabernacle, anywhere else, that'll pay no attention to what's going on around them, but submit themselves to the Lord, as an individual unit, God will lead the same man today, that He led then. He proves that He's with us. What we need today is a humble, submitted life. Submit yourself. Don't squeeze yourself back. Don't do nothing but leads straight with the Holy Spirit. What the Spirit says do, do quickly. Don't say, "Well, I'll wait and find out what this is and that is." What the Holy Spirit says do, go do it.

What if I hadn't have went to Finland when the Holy Spirit called me over there? What if I hadn't went to the hospital yesterday, where that little baby was laying there dying; hadn't have went? It's, "Obedience is better than sacrifice." Do what the Holy Spirit says do. What we need tonight, is to let loose of a lot of our little old squeezy ideas, and let the Holy Spirit... You are taught here. You know what's right and wrong.

He's watching for someone to come the way of the Blood, revelation. And Abel, by faith, he heard the Word of God, and took God at His Word; and by faith in the Word of God, God received him. That's the only way God will ever receive anybody, is by taking God at His Word by revelation that God will keep His Word.

God said the Holy Ghost is good for this day; that settles it for me. If God put His power in the Church to heal the sick and cast out devils... And the prophets and so forth, set them in the church, and promised it, that they would be to the end of the world; that's satisfies it to me. That they had any theologian, or how much they can do like a worm in a lemon, run here, squeeze out here, and squeeze out there; it doesn't make a bit of difference. God said so, and that settles it. Let's stay with God; have faith in His Word.

There was too much of you in you, till God had to squeeze it out through trials. And while that squeezing was coming on, it's hard. But after while the skies clear back and you see the purpose of God. Then you cry, "I know my Redeemer liveth, and at the last days He'll stand on the earth. Though the skin worms destroys this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God." These little trials and things are just for a moment, and they fade and pass away. But they're only done for your good; let us remember that, that God would get glory.

Peter had a sword. He pulled that sword was going to cut the high priest's ears off, and things like that; he did it. But when it come to real Christian courage, he didn't have it. He backed up and denied Him. Is that right? He could cut the high priest's ear off with his sword, sure, he knowed how to handle it. But when it come to the squeeze and time to stand on the Word of God, he didn't have the courage, and even denied he knowed Jesus.

That's where it is today. We got courage to build buildings and put millions of dollars in them. We got courage to put pipe organs, and plush seats, and everything, and go out and proselyte from place to place, and make the Methodists come Baptists, and so forth, back and forth like that. But when it comes to Christian courage to accept the Word and the message of God, and stand there on it, we are few. So what good's your stones without a stone mason again? That right?

327-1 {353} FOURTH.SEAL.THE JEFF.IN 63-0321

See where we're going, don't you? Why? The first Elijah was a rejected man by the churches. And Jezebel and Ahab was the head of them churches: church and state, it's all together. And Elijah revealed Ahab's sins to him and commanded the whole church to turn back to the true Word.

If that isn't exactly what the second Elijah is supposed to do when he comes to this church in this day: restore back the original faith. I don't see how you're going to squeeze away from it. That's right. Turn back to the true Word. That's right.

6-1 LOOK.AWAY.TO.JESUS JEFF.IN V-2 N-17 63-1229E

So now, I am going to say something to you now, that I haven't said all along. And that is, the thing that we have looked forward to for so long, or at least many years, four or five years or maybe longer, the third pull has now been vindicated, and I'm sure you all know what it is.

Now, remember, there'll never be any impersonation of that, 'cause it can't be. It cannot be. Now, it's in existence, and I have--I am warned of this, that soon, right at this time now, it's just happened, so it could identify its presence among you. See? But it will not be used in a great way, until this council begins to tighten up. And when it does, when that does... The Pentecostals and so forth can almost impersonate anything could be done, but when that time comes, when the squeeze comes down, then you'll see what you have seen temporarily, be manifested in the fullness of its power. See...?... see?

Polycarp, which was a disciple of John, carried the Word on. And from Polycarp came Irenaeus. And Irenaeus, the great man of God who believed the very same Gospel that we believe, "The Word is right!" The church, trying to squeeze it out.

Sin came in a moment, by transgression of God's Law, by breaking one Word. Tonight, my brethren, your soul is over hell on a chain. And that chain is not some theological seminary's teaching, that chain is not some denomination or some creed that you're living by, that chain is God's Word! Jesus gave the human race His Word to live by, and Eve only broke one little link of It. And the... any chain is no stronger than its weakest link. When you take one Word out... That was the first of the Book.

Jesus came in the middle the Book, said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." There's the middle of the Book.

The last of the Book, He said, "Whosoever shall take one Word (mis-translate one Word), take one Word out of Here, I'll take his part from the Book of Life." You're passing over hell, hanging on the Word of God. Don't you let somebody squeeze something in to you that's not THUS SAITH THE LORD!

I realize I'm talking to ninety-nine percent Pentecostals, but man... Many times a man, God can deal with them, give them a gift, and the people will squeeze in on those people. If they're not perfectly called and sent of God, he'll cause that man or woman to say something that isn't His will, because the people constrains them to do it.

And they're going to bring a persecution on pretty soon and shut up all the churches. You see that. And churches like this who's not in denominations, they'll use them for storehouses then. And if any man goes and offer a prayer for anybody else that don't belong to the economical movement will be shot on the spot. It's already. That Lutheran minister, the head of it, said so. It's right here. You can read it right here in your magazines. It's right.

Don't make any difference what they say; that Church will stand true in this Light. She's already proved it back yonder, and She'll do it again in the face of everything. It's the Word of God. And let all ecumenical movements and everything else will be gone. She's going to be there without spot or wrinkle. Right. She'll stand there.

I understand that everybody that won't agree and come into the--to the--the international agreement of this fellowship that they're trying to form to put--and unite all churches together, the federation of churches, that all that won't come in and unite with it, they're making them a little province; they're going to send them to Alaska. You might as well get ready for cold weather, 'cause it looks like it's coming. So, what a disgrace!

This woman, this woman, her power... And you see right now where they're going to take all the people that's got odd ideas about religion and send them to Alaska. You've seen that. All of our odd beliefs... And the--what is it? The Council, the World Council of Churches. And the Catholic has their big to-do going on in the Vatican now, over there to where they're trying... And all these bishops and so forth, they're trying to come to an agreement to fight communism, the world fighting communism and only joining up with Catholicism.

God's program is the Holy Spirit. It's God's provided way of doing things. Now, notice this. In the days of Noah... God's program is always a persecuted way. That's the reason people don't want it.

166 ISRAEL.IN.EGYPT JEFF.IN IC 1-34 53-0325

Today what is it in this church? A betrayal. They getting documents; they're going to try to have a... Well now, you just keep this on your mind. They're going to have a confederation of churches. The churches of Christ of America has already confederating with all their churches, and they're going to have a band here someday that'll shut out to fight Communism, which will hook up with Catholicism, with the Protestant church and the Catholic church together. And the interdenominations who stand out for the truth, and get away from that dogma that they've got, will be persecuted. The mark of the beast, the Seal of God, the showdown will soon come. And, brother, if That's not in there, you'll be deceived as sure as the world, 'cause it'll look so nice.

32-6 SERPENT'S.SEED JEFF.IN V-2 N-4 58-0928E

That's our God, and the seed of the righteous is about run out. Talk to people about these things; talk to people about going back to the Bible way; talk to the people about miracles; talk to the people about that; their church don't believe it; so they're bastard children to God. The Bible said if we cannot bear persecution, and trials, mockeries, and called holy-rollers and so forth like that, if you can't stand it, you're bastard children and not the children of God. The Bible said so.

Call me a holy-roller if you want to; call me anything you want to; as long as my heart's right with God, and my spirit matches God's Bible, I'm moving right on in the same direction.

Persecution and trials are a natural, normal part of the Christian life. There is only one thing you can do about them. Commit them all to God, judge not, and leave their outworking and final judgment to Him.

Blessed [are] they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great [is] your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.

_ And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.

_ Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts.

And I persecuted this way unto the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.

And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled [them] to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted [them] even unto strange cities.

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:

For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;

For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him [that was born] after the Spirit, even so [it is] now.

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they please not God, and are contrary to all men:

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

Now the Lord God Almighty says, "I KNOW." There He is walking in the midst of His people. There He is, the Chief Shepherd of the flock. But does He hold back the persecution? Does He stem the tribulation? No, He does not. He simply says, "I KNOW your tribulation--I am not at all unmindful of your suffering."...He may commit you to death as He did Paul. He may commit you to suffering as He did Job. That is His prerogative. He is sovereign. But it is all with a purpose...He was actually made perfect by the things that He suffered. Hebrews 5:8-9, "Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered; And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him." In plain language, the very character of Jesus was perfected by suffering. And according to Paul He has left His church a measure of suffering that they, too, by their faith in God while suffering for Him, would come to a place of perfection.

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us." Unless we suffer with Him we cannot reign with Him. You have to suffer to reign. The reason for this is that character simply is never made without suffering. Character is a VICTORY, not a gift. A man without character can't reign because power apart from character is Satanic. But power with character is fit to rule.

97 TRUE.EASTER.SEAL JEFF.IN V-14 N-3 61-0402

Sons of Satan, sons of Cain, persecute the sons of God, put them to death. That's what they did to Abel. That's what they did to Jesus. That's what they done to the prophets. That's what's in them to do again, and they will do it as soon as the road is made open for them to do it.
