DIVINE NATURE

APPROACH.TO.GOD_  CHICAGO.IL  SUNDAY_  55-0123A
E-38    He wants us to. If the earthly parents wants us to do well, what about our heavenly Parent the Lord Jesus? He has to correct us. And the Scripture says, "If we cannot stand chastisement, or a whipping, child-correction, then we become illegitimate children and not the children of God." See?
If you're really born again, get it now, if you're really born again, there's nothing can separate you from God. That's right. "Neither starvation, perils, trials, suffering, death, nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus."
You say, "Well, I started to be a Christian one time. Everything begin going this way, and that way, and I thought, 'My, I was better off the other way.'" You never did come to God, brother. If you ever really come to God, and got a taste of the heavenly gifts of God, partakers of His Divine nature, why, you could no more become a sinner again, unbeliever, than a stalk of corn could become a cocklebur. That's right.

POSITION.OF.A.BELIEVER.IN.CHRIST_  PHOENIX.AZ  SUNDAY_  55-0227A,  E-33    Look at it, bruised, wounded, tore, opened up His side with a Roman spear in order that by the Holy Spirit we could be baptized into His body, partakers of His Divine nature. You get it? Then you become a partaker, after coming into His body, a partaker of His Divine nature: Christ's nature in you. How can you cheat, steal, lie, backslide, proselyte, everything else with the Divine nature of Christ in you? It's impossible. Let that soak just a few minutes, 'cause it's right...?... If you be a partaker in Christ, then you become a new creature; old things have passed away, and all things have become new. All of our warrings, and fussings, and stewings, and arguings, and pampers, and all these things pass away. You see it?
What is the fruit of the Spirit? We've planted it on church membership, upon shouting, upon demonstrations of our works. But the fruit of the Spirit is first love, love Who? Then is when you love those who are unlovable. That's the Spirit of Christ. Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience, there's the fruit of the Spirit. So no matter what church you belong to, what you have done...

RECONCILIATION.THROUGH.FELLOWSHIP_  STURGIS.MI  FRIDAY_  56-0120,  E-39    I think today, that great men has swept this nation back and forth, Jack Schullers, Billy Grahams, many others has went over, and over, and over, and over through the nation, and go right back the same year, and find the same group that he preached to just as far deluded in sin as they ever was. Because man can't save you, when man can only make an altar call, but it's your individual--or personal faith and trust in God to plunge beneath the Blood, and to be filled with His Spirit, and by become a partakers of the Divine, not a partaker of the church, a partaker of the Divine. The Divine nature changing your own vile nature into a nature that loves God, who believes every Word that He said is the truth, and accepting it as your own personal gift from God.

UNITY.ONE.GOD.ONE.CHURCH_  JEFF.IN  V-16 N-8  SUNDAY_  58-1221E,  97    There is so many people today who says that the Holy Spirit is not real today. While tens of thousands of them, and millions, are saying it's not so, there's that many enjoying the blessings of It. Mostly are poor people, people who's been dejected and rejected by the world, people who's been throwed out of churches because that they believed God to be God; but they have been filled with His Spirit. They are one in purpose; they're one in heart. Who are those people? Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterian, Catholic, Jehovah Witness, orthodox Jew, all together, they become one. Not one to a creed, not one to a denomination, that's the working of the Devil through intellectual conceptions, but the working of the Holy Spirit, the Kingdom of God in you. And God sets on the throne of your heart in His control room, controlling your emotions, and controlling your powers, controlling your conceptions, and making you one with Him in fellowship and in love. And God fills you with love. He fills you with power. He fills you with the Spirit. He fills you with His own Divine Nature, and He changes your carnal nature into His Nature. Then, in this, you become a new creation in Christ.

STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M,  7-1    So now, let us read now I Peter--II Peter, rather, the 1st chapter, portion of it.
Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
I like the way that's stated right there, because my whole subject this morning is based on faith. See? Let me read that again; listen close.
Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith... through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Notice: He is saying, "I have obtained this faith, and I'm addressing this to them that has obtained the like precious faith." I want... It's not to the outside world; this is to the church (See?), those that are in Christ.
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and through--of Jesus Christ our Lord,
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things... (His divine power now has given unto us all things.)... that pertain unto life... godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Whereby are we given unto--given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these... (these promises)... we might be partakers of the Divine nature,...

STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M,  7-4    Now, let that soak real deep now. Not preaching this morning; we're just teaching this lesson. Divine Nature... Let me read that 4th verse again now, so you won't miss it:
Whereby we are given... Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these... (these promises)... we might be partakers of the Divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
See, the world--we've escaped that now. He's addressing this to the church. That's why we're here this morning is to find out what is the way; what is God's requirements? There's not a person in here that loves God, but what wants to become more like Christ. Now, its laid out here. Every Christian... I'm an old veteran. Look at Brother and Sister Kidd here; they're probably oldest in the building. But if I'd ask them, "What is your hearts' desire?" It'd be: "Closer to God." When you learn of Christ, there's something about Him that's so loving, you just try to get right into Him.

STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M,  8-2    Excuse this expression: I told my wife here not long ago that she--both getting old, and I said to her--I said, "Do you love me like you used to?"
She said, "I certainly do."
And I said, "You know, I love you so much till I would like to take you and pull you inside of me, so we could just be really be one." Boy, now that... Multiply that by a hundred million, and then you'll find out how that the believer who falls in love with Christ wants to get into Him, because it's a love. And here He's going to show us how that through these promises we might be partakers of Christ's Divine nature. These mortal bodies, how that we can be partakers...

STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M,  9-2    That's the way it is with Christ. See, we've got to be so in love with Him till when we ask for something, and He doesn't give it to us, that doesn't shake us a bit. See, see? Why? And the only way you can do that is become partakers of His Divine nature. Then you'll understand the reason He can't give it to you: partakers of His Divine Nature. And look here: "having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust": escaped it. See who it is to? It's to the church. Them who are in Christ has been exalted above these things, not be exalted himself, but Christ brought him up.

STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M,  11-3    Now, these people are--are... Peter is saying here how that we must be partakers of His Divine nature. Now, each one of us are trying to grow into the stature of God.

STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M,  13-1    Now, in the... Now, a tabernacle it's of course a place where we go to rest Now... get freshness, and so forth, like resting from sleep, or so forth. Now, Hebrews 10 and the 5th verse, Paul brings it in.
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith Sacrifice... (That's Christ.)... Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
What is a tabernacle now? A body, God tabernacling in a body. God once up high, when He come down on the mountain, even if a bullock or cow touched the mountain, he must be killed. God's holy.
Last evening, when those angels covered their faces, holy Seraphims with holy faces, don't even know what sin means, and they have to cover their face in the Presence of God, cover their feet in humility.
Now, holy God could not condone sin. So nothing could touch the mountain where God was. Then God was made flesh and dwelt among us in the form of Jesus Christ His Son, His creation. Then that Son gave His life, and the Blood cell of God was broken that the Life might come out of the Blood to us. Through that Blood we are cleansed. And now our blood, our life, which came by living through sexual desire brought our life in the world; the Blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us, changes our nature by sending upon us the Holy Spirit; then we become into the Divine nature of God; then we become a dwelling place for God.

STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M,  58-7    Peter said, "And because you have escaped the corruption of the world through the lust of money, and lust of big times, and pleasure, and the eating, and drinking, and lust that we have, you've escaped that; and now you're built up in to a lively house. I'm addressing that to the church," he said. There you are. Did you read it? Did you get it? Did you hear it when we read it back here? In II Peter, just listen what he says here; how beautiful that's wrote in here, how he--he addresses it. All right listen to him now as he speaks. All right.
Peter--Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
... peace be--be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and through Jesus Christ our Lord,
According as--as his Divine power has given unto us all things... (Who's going to inherit the earth and all things? Sure pertaineth... Yeah, all right.)... that pertaineth unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory unto glory:
Whereby are we given to the exceeding great precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the Divine nature, having escaped the corruption... (Listen to that.)... that is in the world through lust.

FUTURE.HOME_  JEFF.IN  V-3 N-5  SUNDAY_  64-0802
43-4    Now, the Divine Architect has designed a new City where He will live with His Bride, just to Her touch. No wonder the apostle said, "Eye has not seen; ear has not heard, or neither has it ever entered the heart of man..." Let's see if we can probe into it just for a moment; see what it's going to look like. The Divine Architect has designed this for His beloved. See? Oh, what a place it must be when Divine nature, a Divine Architect has a-designed it for a Divine attribute that's been Divinely predestinated by a Divine God, Who--Who is the Author of Divine Life.

254-3 SARDISEAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.7
If there was ever a time of denominational zeal it was at this tragic time. The words of Comenius describe much of this era. Comenius wrote the "ONE THING NEEDFUL." He compares the world to the labyrinth, and shows that the way out is by leaving what is needless, and choosing the one thing needful--Christ. The great number of teachers, he says is the reason of the multitudes of sects, for which we shall soon have no names left. Each church reckons itself as the true one, or at least as the purest, truest part of it, while among themselves they persecute each other with the bitterest hatred. No reconciliation is to be hoped for between them; they meet enmity with irreconcilable enmity. Out of the Bible they forge their different creeds; these are their fortresses and bulwarks behind which they entrench themselves and resist all attacks. I will not say that these confessions of faith--for we can admit in most cases that they are so--are bad in themselves. They become so, however, in that they feed the fire of enmity; only by putting them away altogether would it be possible to set to work on healing the wounds of the Church. "To this labyrinth of sects and various confessions another belongs; the love of disputation... What is attained by it? Has a single learned strife ever been settled? Never. Their number has only been increased. Satan is the greatest sophist; he has never been overcome in a strife of words... In Divine service the words of men are usually heard more than the Word of God. Each one chatters as he pleases, or kills time by learned disquisitions and disproving the views of others. Of the new birth and how a man must be changed into the likeness of Christ to become partaker of the Divine Nature (II Peter 1:4), scarcely anything is said. Of the power of the keys, the Church has almost lost the power of binding, only the power of loosing remains... The sacraments, given as symbols of unity, of love, and of our life in Christ, have been made the occasion of bitterest conflict, a cause of mutual hatred, a centre of sectarianism... In short, Christendom has become a labyrinth. The faith has been split into a thousand little parts and you are made a heretic if there is one of them you do not accept... What can help? Only the one thing needful, return to Christ, looking to Christ as the only Leader, and walking in His footsteps, setting aside all other ways until we all reach the goal, and have come to the unity of the faith (Ephesians 4:13). As the heavenly Master built everything on the ground of the Scriptures so should we leave all particularities of our special confessions and be satisfied with the revealed Word of God which belongs to us all. With the Bible in our hand we should cry: I believe what God has revealed in this Book; I will obediently keep His commands; I hope for that which He has promised. Christians, give ear! There is only one life, but Death comes to us in a thousand forms. There is only one Christ, but a thousand Antichrists... So thou knowest, O Christendom, what is the one thing needful. Either thou turnest back to Christ or thou goest to destruction like the Antichrist. If thou art wise and wilt live, follow the Leader of Life.

II PETER 1:4
4    Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
