Now, I'm going to... I'll give you my estimation of what I think that the closest thing to an evidence that a man is a Christian, than anything I know of. You know what it is? It's travail of soul, a person that's always so hungering and thirsting for God. They just simply... Day and night they--they just can't stand it. They--they--they got to do something for God. They--they're full of love and they're just a soul-travail, just travailing all the time. The Bible said, "He that goeth forth sowing in tears will doubtless return again, rejoicing, bringing with him precious sheaves." Is that right?

In something anchors, till your thoughts that way is dull; you don't see that no more. You just see the Lord Jesus. You see righteousness, and holiness, and purity, and love, and grace. That's when you've been changed. What is a convert? "Convert" means "to change something over." And your thoughts, your habits, your being, has been changed from a sinner to a Christian. First thing, you know it in your heart; then you express it with your lips; and then it materializes, and that's what you are.

Now, if you think that you think it (what a word!), but you imagine you think it, and you express it, and it doesn't materialize, then you're on the wrong road. You get it? Maybe I better let--talk a little slower. Look, if you imagine you're a Christian, and you speak it out with your lips, but you find out that you're not, you better get your thoughts changed, get your heart changed (See?), because it doesn't bear the record, it doesn't bear fruit of it. "But the fruit of the Spirit is gentleness, peace, long-suffering, goodness, mercy, faith." If every little thing comes along, and you fly up at it, better be careful. There's something hasn't happened. You're expressing something here, that's not here.

89 When did you get it? When you shouted? When you went to the altar? When you spoke in tongues? When you believed. We baptize so many that don't believe. We hear so many speak in tongues, that don't believe. We have worked them up to evidences, and made things, and laid them out, and say, "When you do this, you got it." There's nothing in the Bible, nowhere in the Bible, that you can pin a man down, because he does this, that he's a Christian. He's a Christian because he believes. And his own life bears the fruit of the Spirit, no matter what he does. See? That's it.

Now, and when you believe, you receive Everlasting Life. And Everlasting Life is God, and God is the Holy Spirit. Is that right? If God and the Holy Spirit isn't the same Person, Jesus had two fathers. Jesus said that God was His Father, and the Bible says that the Holy Ghost was His Father, so they both was the same Person.

And if you receive God, Everlasting Life in you, then what have you received? That's what I want to know. You get the idea?

You get it? Then you become a partaker, after coming into His body, a partaker of His Divine nature: Christ's nature in you. How can you cheat, steal, lie, backslide, proselyte, everything else with the Divine nature of Christ in you? It's impossible. Let that soak just a few minutes, 'cause it's right...?... If you be a partaker in Christ, then you become a new creature; old things have passed away, and all things have become new. All of our warrings, and fussings, and stewings, and arguings, and pampers, and all these things pass away. You see it?

What is the fruit of the Spirit? We've planted it on church membership, upon shouting, upon demonstrations of our works. But the fruit of the Spirit is first love, love Who? Then is when you love those who are unlovable. That's the Spirit of Christ. Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, goodness, meekness, gentleness, patience, there's the fruit of the Spirit. So no matter what church you belong to, what you have done...

The fruit of the Spirit is love. What is God? Love. And if you can't love your enemy, no matter what he says about you; your neighbor, no matter what he says about you... If from your heart, not with your lips, not with your knowledge that you should be doing it as a Christian, but something in your heart makes you love them anyway, regardless of what you say. Then it's time to come to the altar again. You just never quite got what you thought you, or what really you should've had. Amen.

God knows today that what the holiness people need, and also the Calvinist... All of them needs today is more fruit of the Spirit, more lives to prove it.

We've had many testimonies, but as the old saying is, "Your life speaks so loud, I can't hear your voice." We are written epistles of God, read of all men.

E-32 That's the same way that an unbeliever or a sinner is ever laid in the Presence of Almighty God under the influence of the Holy Spirit, he becomes a new creature right then. His life becomes fruitful, fresh; life comes in, and he yields what he was supposed to be, a son of God. He was took off of the tree, so was that olive branch. He was took off of the tree, but sinners and--and lukewarm church members become dry sticks with some kind of a memory that some time there was a supernatural God of the past, that had life, and way back there.

But if you believe and lay in His Presence it'll produce the same thing to you. You will realize that you were born sons and daughters of God and will yield the fruit of the Spirit. But you can't do it out there on the courts; you got to do it in here, on the inside, hid away.
