E-18 And until we can come back to that spot of a Blood transfusion... Quit trying to put on plasters. Quit trying to put on some salve. The healing can't come unless the bloodstream's right.

That's the reason that people has got diabetes. If one would ever cut himself, it probably would never heal. Why? Because the real red blood cells is eat up. And the whole church has become diabetic. And to every little cut that comes, instead of walking on, you pick at it. It can't heal. Selfishness, greed, immorality, everything else that's in the calendar of God's wrong doing, the church is picking up those habits: men drinking, smoking, telling dirty jokes; women cutting their hair, wearing make up, doing all kinds of things, dressing themselves immorally to face the people. All those things are because it's a lack of the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Amen.

E-41 What the world's looking for today is for something genuine. We've danced, we've shouted, and told lies on our neighbors. We have spoke in tongues like pouring peas on a dry cowhide, and went out and fussed about the next man's doings, unjustly. We have made fun. You've joined the church and made fun of somebody shouting in the Spirit. Talk, malice, greed, hatred, all those things are in the church.

E-32 Friend, that's what the world wants to see today in you and me. They want something real. How can you get it until you're borned of the Spirit of God and have an experience of it? How can you have faith unless there's something in you to give you faith? Real... Would you like to have that kind of love of God in your heart like that mother deer had for her baby, to display that kind of a love with no selfishness, no greed, no nothing, till when you walk down the street the neighbors would say, "If there ever was a sainted godly woman or man, there it goes"? That's what they want. It's better to live me a sermon than it is to preach me one. Let us bow our heads just a moment.

E-30 What the Church needs tonight is a confession and making right to come back to the testimonies of the Lord God. There's mercy, forgiveness. Seems that it would haunts people, going on, know that you're walking hour by hour in the face of death. Why do we continue on with selfishness, and greed, and ungodliness, and--and our eyes on things of the world? Time we turn back to God's testimonies. "As I thought on my way, I turned my feet to Thy testimony."

103 And I seen the other day, I was talking to my good friend, Doctor Vayle setting here, that where there's a article that people getting killed by penicillin. It really isn't the penicillin; it's the filth that they let get into it when they're manufacturing the penicillin. It's a money-making, greed scheme. Doctors giving it sometime who don't even know the formula of an aspirin, and their father sends them away to get a--a specialist in something another, and don't know even how to cure a tummy-ache for a kid. But what have we got? Greed, some pull, or a little something. They don't have hardly anymore of the old fashion country doctor that used to get down and talk to you and console you and do everything. They leave God right out of the picture, because they went after their own way. In order to get God out of the picture, they explained Him plumb away. There we are.

114 What's the matter then? We've let the clouds of doubt, greed, temper, selfishness, denominations, and other things, break in on us, break in and take us away from the Word, say, "them was somewhere else," denying Christ, denying the baptism of the--of the Lord, of the Holy Ghost, denying the Christian baptism of the Name of Jesus Christ, other things, all kinds of things, that our creeds has broke us away from the Bible.

44-3 And if that can... Is that indictment? He's indicting what? That Sanhedrin council. And I'm indicting, this morning, the federation of churches; I'm indicting the Pentecostals; I'm indicting the Presbyterians, the Baptists, and every denomination in the world. By wicked, selfish greed you've took the Word of Life and crucified It before the people, and blasphemed It, and called It fanaticism, which God has raised up in our midst to prove that He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. And I indict this generation.

224 This young fellow increased in goods, but we find out his finally payoff day come. His greed and goods so increased till he found that he had to build new barns. Oh, his business kept increasing. He stayed a member of the church. You say, "Yes?" Yes, brother, that's right. He stayed a member of the church. And one night, he got so big, till there was a man that was poor in spirit.

62 Oh, when Ahab was on the throne... You say, "He's on the throne." That's right, but Jezebel was the head behind that throne. She was the one that done the leading. Look how she took the very laws of the land and twisted them around, and for her own gain and for greed, and made Ahab do it because she was married to him. And that's the way with our leader today. I don't say he isn't a nice man, but look what's behind him: the harlot, the very thing that we run here, to be America for; the very principles that America's built upon... We, by our own free choosing, elected a thing like that.

E-57 There you are. Let down the bars somewhere, and you're feeding in that blessed holy place in your heart. You've brought the unclean vessel of the devil into there where the vessels of the Lord should've been, where the fruits of righteousness ought to be with peace, long-suffering, goodness, gentleness, patience, meekness. It's selfishness, greed, denominational barriers, fighting one another, and that's the reason you're wearing earrings and short hair and manicure over your face and all kinds of things like that. That's the reason. That's what done it.

In this city there were two famous temples. One was the temple erected to the worship of Zeus, and the other was erected to Cybele. And between these two temples was found the most beautiful road of ancient times, called the Golden Street. To me this depicts a further inroad of paganism that had already started in the first age, but was known to exist only at Rome. The joining of the two temples of a god and goddess is the seed of Maryolatry wherein Mary is called the mother of God and receives honor and titles and powers giving her a coequality with Jesus Christ. The Golden Street that joins them is a picture of the greed that caused the Nicolaitane organizers to join state and church because they knew the wealth and power it offered them.

70 But that greed that's always been, right and wrong, wrong trying to overthrow the right: it started in Eden, and it has come down through the ages. It's come down till it's entered into national affairs. It's come down into church affairs. It's come down into home life: greed, trying to rule or ruin, trying to overpower, push out. And we see the thing working everywhere, and it always has, the same thing trying to overrule or overrun.

71 Down through the Old Testament, God, in the days of the prophets, back... I got several of them written down here, that I will not have time to get to. But God in the days of the old prophets, in the midst of everything, like He did in the garden of Eden, when the true Voice of God and the true worship of God was condemned, and sent out and killed, in the garden of Eden, and the Voice of God hushed by the greed and jealousy, it's been that way in the church ever since, trying to hush the true Voice of God.

78 And we find it today... And we find it in politics. I've got some things set down here about polities, that how that we would find even in this day that where we are, that people has sold their birthrights for politics. And if none of you has ever got the tape that I spoke on in up at Middletown, Ohio, Sunday, a week ago, on Jezebel and Ahab, I wish you would listen to it sometime. And how that the nation, because of greed, and a few extra dollars, and a--a more popular idea amongst the people, they have absolutely sold out Christ just as much as Judas did two thousand years ago for thirty pieces of silver. Oh, it's a tremendous thing to think that the condition that exists amongst this nation and these peoples today... To think that many years ago, they would have never done a thing like that. But today they're so greedy, trying to get more money, trying to get easier times. Now, that is, 'course the unchristian.

84 Now, it's in... We find that greed though, in church, and in politics, and in national affairs. One nation... Look down here in Africa now what's going on. Look, because of greed, look what's happened down there now in Africa; not only there, but all over the world everywhere, because man wants to be somebody. They--this is all they have, is right here on earth, or, they live that way.

90 You say, "Does that go to nations?"

When Satan took Jesus up to the top of the mountain for temptation, he showed Him all the kingdoms of the world. Now, that was all that was and all that would be, all the kingdoms of all the world. And he said, "These are mine, and I do with them whatever I want to. I can make them fight; I can make them do this or any." And he claimed the kingdoms of the world, so then we can see how greed and selfishness comes into politics. See? We can see then where it is in the church and in the church leaders, where greed and selfishness comes into the church.

91 Now, watch that same old greed that started in the garden of Eden, that put a bad seal on one and the right Seal on the other, come right down into the times of our Lord Jesus. When He was here on earth, He was given a trial by what was called justice, a courts of justice. What an unjust mockery that was. There wasn't one thing that they could find against Him. That was the political side. They couldn't find nothing against Him. Even so much as Pilate, himself, said, "I find no fault in Him."

E-32 And instead of coming and saying, "Well, wonderful. We see God in the midst of the people working. Let's do that." No, sir. With creed--the same thing, and--greed, rather, and with jealousy--the same thing that Cain has, he requires the blood of his brother. He tries to wipe him out of the way, get rid of him. "They're nothing but a bunch of holy-rollers. They're little..." See? You know what I mean. That's what starts the trouble. There's where trouble begins. That's where the broken vows... There's where broken fellowship separates. That's the thing that breaks up homes. That's the thing that starts the--the wheel a-moving towards divorces. That's the very thing that breaks the fellowship.

87 The U.N. today, they wouldn't accept what we got, but that's what they need. Khrushchev, all the rest of them need Christ in the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It'll change their dispositions. It'll make men, who they hate, become brothers. It'll take greed away, and malice and strife; and put love, and joy, and peace, goodness, and mercy.

Yes, in the unexpected places, sometimes where you find what you're looking for.
