HINDRANCES- CIRCUMSTANCES

EXHORTATION.ON.HEALING_ LA.CA TUESDAY_ 51-0501

E-1 And it was quite a struggle this time a-coming back, not to come back to you, but under the circumstances now, it was kindly hard for me to get in, but I wanted to live true to my promise that I had promised you people.

Being another meeting in the city, Mr. Freeman's meeting, and I knew nothing of it. And I was asked to cancel this meeting because of it. And after I had promised you I'd come back, I--I couldn't do that; I hope it doesn't hurt Brother Freeman.

MANIFESTATION.OF.THE.SPIRIT_ TOLEDO.OH TUESDAY_ 51-0717 E-59 Now, I don't mean see... You know what... The prophet Elijah said, "If it wasn't I respected the presence of Jehoshaphat, I wouldn't even look at you." See? In other words, look to see, it means spiritually see what's wrong.

Now, He's lovely, isn't He, the Lord Jesus. He certainly is. Now, perceiving that you are a Christian, and you believe the Word of God... Yes, ma'am. You're a victim of circumstances. You've got things wrong with you. Isn't that right? You have a--you have a stone in--in your gall bladder for one thing. Isn't that right? And you also have a kidney stone. Isn't that right?

THREE.WITNESSES_ ERIE.PA SATURDAY_ 51-0728

E-15 Friends, you don't have to have a great education to know God. See? Frankly, education's been one of the worst hindrances that the Gospel of Christ has ever had. I say that with respects and reverence. That's right, the worst hindrance.

EXPECTATION_ NEW.YORK.NY SUNDAY_ 51-0930

E-72 I'm watching this woman setting here in this chair, and this man too. Brother, I want to see you all come up from them chairs tonight and walk. I want you to believe. Somebody, sometimes people think, when people are setting in the chairs, they get to a place where they think they're helpless. You're not, and hopeless, no, sir. Jesus Christ loves you and wants to heal you. All right, be reverent now.

All right, bring your patient. All right, sister. Oh, victim of a circumstances, trouble, seen much of it in your lifetime. Now, here you are suffering with a back trouble, right across your back you have pains all the time. You got a swollen spleen; you have heart trouble; you did have, but you don't no more; your faith has healed you. Go home and be well... That's the way.

THOU.KNOWEST.ALL.THINGS_ HAMMOND.IN WEDNESDAY_ 52-0716 E-64 All right, bring the lady. Howdy do, sister. You believe with all your heart? You're also are the victim of circumstances caused from a nervous condition. It's caused you to have a stomach trouble in your stomach. You can't eat, got a ulcer down in your stomach, something's wrong, 'cause your stomach doesn't--your food doesn't digest through your stomach right. Nothing seems to help it, isn't that right? Do you believe me to be His prophet? Well, then if I know about your life, and what it is... And you know good and well, lady, I don't know nothing about you, only what I would see right here before me. Is that right? No way in the world for me to know it. We're strangers, no way in the world. Then it's the truth, isn't it? All right. If I see what was, if I--I tell you what will be? You believe it? Then go eat what you want to. Jesus Christ makes you whole. God bless you.

FOR.HIM.WILL.I.ACCEPT_ HAMMOND.IN FRIDAY_ 52-0718

E-3 I believe this: that in the great realms of the Church, the only thing that's holding off the coming of our Lord Jesus for His Church, and setting up of His Kingdom, is the differences between the full Gospel people. That's right. As long as one say, "I belong to this; I belong to that. I received this; I did that," and don't recognize the brother as your brother, I think that's one of the hindrances we have now, one of the hindrances of not receiving, or Jesus Christ's coming.

I believe that we're past... Jesus' coming is past due. That's a big word, but I believe I can prove it by the Scripture.

LIFE.STORY_ HAMMOND.IN. SUNDAY_ 52-0720A

E-62 So one day, I thought, "I--I believe..." Made up my mind, I was going to ask her if she... [Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] how was I going to do it. That was the big problem, how was I going to ask her to marry me? So I said, "Well, I will ask her tonight."

Well, I'd go up, you know and I'd talk, and when I'd get right down to that spot, I--I just wilt away. I couldn't do it. I couldn't ask her to marry me; there's too many circumstances there. And I said... So I thought, "Well, how in the world will I ever get--get it over to her? Maybe I could ask somebody else to ask her if she would marry me. You see?" I thought, "That wouldn't be just exactly right. She might refuse me on them terms."

GO.TELL.MY.DISCIPLES_ JEFF.IN V-25 N-5 SUNDAY_ 53-0405S

167 And I said, "Well, now looky here, there's many people that's not magnetized. There's many people that's bolted down with circumstances, say, 'I can't do it. I just couldn't do it. It's too much of a price.'"

Brother, except that heart is changed, and that soul setting yonder, magnetized with God by the Holy Ghost, when Jesus comes, you'll be left on the earth alone. Remember, there'll be a resurrection one of these mornings, only for those that are dead in Christ, will God bring with Him.

EXPECTATIONS_ JONESBORO.AR THURSDAY_ 53-0507

E-25 And he believed that God heard Solomon's prayer. And if Jonah under those circumstances could believe that God heard Solomon's prayer, how much more ought we, when we look once more to Thy holy temple, where Jesus sets at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven, with a bleeding... His Own body as a sacrifice. "Once more will I look to Thy holy temple, Lord." Yes, sir. God kept him alive for three days and nights, and delivered him over in Nineveh where he belonged.

Notice, how marvelous. Symptoms is just like... In the morning some of you women here, what if the--the postal man in the morning, or say the railroad express agent would come up to your house and say, "Miss John Doe?"

"Yes."

"I have something here was sent to you." And you look at it.

And you say, "What is that?" And you look into it, it's a big box. And in there's a big box of rattlesnakes. "Why," you say, "I don't want those things."

"But they're yours; somebody sent them to you."

"Why," you say, "I don't want them."

PREPARATION_ OWENSBORO.KY WEDNESDAY_ 53-1111

E-94 All you got faith--have got faith, raise your hands. Say, "I've got faith, Brother Branham. I believe."

You believe it's the preparation time? Don't notice--don't notice your age. Don't notice the circumstances. Faith knows no age limit or circumstance. Faith knows one thing: "God said so, and that settles it." You believe it?

FAITH.ONCE.DELIVERED.TO.SAINTS_ W.P.BEACH.FL SUNDAY_ 53-1129A

E-77 "I got the Word. The Word says so. God bless you." That's truth. But wait, has God a vindicated you yet. Have you got signs and wonders in your church? That's where God always lives. You see signs and wonders, because He's God. He's a Creator, and His people believe Him that way.

God made this world that you're setting on this afternoon. Only thing He done is said, "Let there be," and this world that you're setting on is the Word of God materialized. You believeth things which was not as though they were, because His own Word said, "Let it be."

And any man that's borned again of the Spirit of God, or a son of God, when God says so, no matter what the circumstances is, it's so anyhow. I don't care where all the teachers and the doctors of whatever it is and the world would say this, that, and the other, he believes it's the truth, 'cause God said so.

"How's it going to be?"

"I don't know. God said so."

"How can you going to receiveth Holy Ghost?"

"I don't know. God said so. He told me I could have It."

RESURRECTION.THE_ W.PALM.BEACH.FL SATURDAY_ 53-1205

E-82 Well, if Jonah under those circumstances... Amen. Here it is. Get it? If Jonah under those circumstances, backslid, hands tied behind him, in the belly of the whale, on a stormy sea, down in the ocean, if he could refuse to see the whale's belly and believe that God heared Solomon's prayer, how much more ought you and I today to hear Christ Jesus, Who has died and took His own bloody garments, and setting at the right hand of God, making intercessions on our confessions. What we say He's done, He's... God's there to make it right.

How much more ought we to refuse our symptoms? It's nonsense. "I won't look at my crippled hand. I won't look at my--about my deaf ear. I'll look to your holy temple, Lord, where Jesus stands at the right hand of God making intercessions on what I confess to be true." Amen. Say, I feel religious right now. I tell you, I do.

UNCONDITIONAL.COVENANT_ PHOENIX.AZ SATURDAY_ 54-0306

E-49 Abraham didn't look at anything as the circumstances. He didn't think about them. He never thought about how old Sarah was and how old he was getting. He just remembered God said so. And that same Spirit is upon we, the children of Abraham, making us face the same thing.

How are you going to receive the Holy Ghost? How's the man going to speak in new tongues? How's the man going to do this? The natural mind can't receive it. But the Seed of Abraham which is borned again, and the Seed of God, the Spirit of God is in the Seed of Abraham which makes him believe that, because God in him pushes that out and makes him don't look at these things.

AT.THY.WORD.LORD_ JOHNSON.CITY.NY TUESDAY_ 54-1207

E-50 There's nobody in here tonight in that condition. There's nobody ever been in that condition. Look what an impossibility he was standing in. And yet he refused to see the symptoms around him. He said, "Once more I will look to Your holy temple, O Lord." That's right. Why? When Solomon dedicated the temple, he prayed; he said, "Lord, if Thy people be in trouble anywhere and look to this temple and pray, then You hear from heaven."

And Jonah believed that God heard Solomon's prayer. And he looked towards the temple, and God kept him alive for three days and nights in that whale's belly, according to the Word of God. And if Jonah, under those circumstances, could believe God like that, how much more ought you and I tonight?

FUNDAMENTAL.FOUNDATION.FOR.FAITH_ CHICAGO.IL THURSDAY_ 55-0113

E-48 In Saint Matthew 19:18, it said this... I mean Saint Matthew 28:18 it is. He said, "All (after His resurrection)--all powers in heavens and earth is given into My hand." Then He did not lose His powers; He gained more power. Is that right? Then if He has gained more power, then He can do more things. Is that right?

Now, He's living in the Church today. Do you believe that? He's the same yesterday, today, and forever, promising the same works that He did would we do, even more. You believe it to be the truth? Then what basis do we have tonight for our faith?

The first thing, friend, there's some of you here may not believe in Divine healing, may not believe in the power of God. First, you were born here to control all circumstances. Sin...

JEHOVAH.JIREH_ PHOENIX.AZ TUESDAY_ 55-0222

E-61 And about that time, a ram bleated, hooked with his horn in the wilderness. Where'd that ram come from? Look. Abraham was three day's journey from civilization. An ordinary man can walk about thirty miles in a day. I can. And an ordinary man can walk thirty miles in a day. Then he lifted up his head and saw the mountain far off. Watch the impossibilities now: perhaps between ninety and a hundred miles away from civilization, and then again, the ram was up on top of the mountain, where there's no spring, nothing for him to drink, nothing for him to eat. And the ram appeared on the scene in the crucial moment. For He's Jehovah-jireh, He will take care of the circumstances and the emergency. Isn't He?

MY.REDEEMER.LIVETH_ JEFF.IN V-26 N-15 SUNDAY_ 55-0410S

158 Heavenly Father, we thank Thee this morning for this resurrection. O God... Once a sinner bound by the chains of sin, once in prison by circumstances, haunty, spooky, afraid of death, afraid to meet You, but one glorious day there come a resurrection from that. Christ arose in the heart, and today we have this great assurance. Today He lives supremely, and we thank Thee for Him.

ARK.THE_ JEFF.IN V-26 N-18 SUNDAY_ 55-0522

15 And then, the other day he arrived. And he's here, so I'm very grateful for him, knowing that when the Lord promises anything, the Lord will do what He has promised. See? He just has to. In order to be God, He has to keep His Word.

I--I can--not able to keep mine sometimes. You're not able to keep yours. Because we make promises with good intentions, but we're not able to carry it out. Circumstances, difficults, and so forth brings us to a place where we can't sometimes do what we want to do.

But God is able to keep His Word, and He will do it. It's just impossible for Him not to. That's why we love Him so this morning. Rest upon that perfect assurance, that, "God is able to keep that which we've committed to Him against the day."

ABRAHAM_ MACON.GA WEDNESDAY_ 55-0608

E-34 But he said, "Once more will I look to Your holy temple, Lord." For he knew when Solomon dedicated that temple, he'd prayed, and he said, "Lord, if Thy people be in trouble anywhere and look toward this holy place and pray, then hear from heaven." And he believed the prayer of Solomon.

And if Jonah, under those conditions, could believe the prayer of Solomon, under a temple that was dedicated here on earth, how much more ought we to believe tonight by a resurrected Lord Jesus setting at the right hand of God when He tells us; making intercession following of our confession. Refuse to see any symptoms, and say, "They're lying vanities," and walk away from it. Amen. Don't pay no attention to circumstances. What God says is the truth, not what you see, what you believe.

ABRAHAM_ MACON.GA WEDNESDAY_ 55-0608

E-62 Now, up on the mountain there, he took his own son, tied his hands behind him, laid upon the altar, reached down and pulled out the knife, pulled the little fellow's throat back, and raised his hand to stab his own son to death. And about that time, the Holy Ghost caught his hand and said, "Abraham, stay your hand."

Don't be scared to walk right down to the last row of life with Him. God will be there on the scene. He's Jehovah-jireh, "the Lord will provide a sacrifice." He will make a provision.

And about that time, he heard something bleat, and there was a little ram hooked in the wilderness by his horns. Where did that ram come from? They was a hundred miles from civilization. And they was up on top of the mountain where there's no water. How did that ram get there? God is still Jehovah-jireh. No matter what the circumstances is, He can provide the sacrifice at anytime. Amen. No matter what the circumstance is He's Jehovah-jireh.

FAITH.IN.ACTION_ CHICAGO.IL MONDAY_ 55-1003

E-27 Look at Noah way back in Genesis. When God spoke to Noah that day, the Word of God came to Noah and told him to build an ark for the saving of his household. And you know, the world stood upright before the antediluvian destruction; it wasn't leaning back like this to bring water. And when God told Noah He was going to send a flood, a rain, why, you know he had critics. But faith doesn't look at what circumstances is; faith looks to what God says. Faith don't try to reason. Faith just takes it at it's face value.

Now, there's two different kinds of what we call faith today. And I'm sorry to say this to my audience tonight, but I'm too sure of this--or real sure of this, that's there's too much intellectual faith in the stead of being heart faith.
