LUSTING FOR

PERFECTION_ JEFF.IN ER 35-54 FRIDAY_ 57-0419

82 "How do I get sanctified?" Confess your sins in the Presence of the Blood of Jesus; and the Life that come from that Blood, comes back to the worshipper and sanctifies Him from the desires of the things of the world. For by that all-sufficient Sacrifice He has sanctified us; one Spirit, we are all baptized into one Body. "Now there's no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, to them that walk not after the flesh, but the Spirit." If you're trying to walk by the Spirit, and still lusting for the flesh, the Sacrifice hasn't been sufficiently applied to you. But the worshipper once purged has no more desire of sin.

CONFLICT.BETWEEN.GOD.AND.SATAN_ CLARKSVILLE.IN THURSDAY_ 62-0531

E-44 The extreme beauty of women has so increased in the past fifty years... To pick up a picture of fifty years ago what a--an attractive woman looked like... I was looking the other day in a history of the wars, and how that Pearl White, about a hundred years ago, when she was stabbed by Scott Jackson, her lover, and the looks of the woman. Now, also, a Mary Bonneville, and many of the so-called attractive women of fifty to a hundred years ago, compare them with the women today, they wouldn't stand in a shadow. Certainly not.

Burly women has become dainty, feminish, and so forth, more attractive, and it... what is it? They dress themselves more attractive. Where the women used to wear great big dresses, and sleeves and long skirts, and hid their body because they didn't want man lusting for them (they lived for one man that chose them for wife); today the women pour themselves into little clothes, and immorality is on such a move and a rampage 'till it's--it's beyond even thinking.

BREACH.THE_ JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 63-0317E

79-2 {74} Now, you went out to him. He couldn't get into you, because the only way he'd get into you is come through the same process that you have. He'd have to be saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost; then he'd be your brother. So, see, so he--he didn't do it, no, no. You just went to the borderline and come back lusting for the things of the world. He never went all the way over into Canaan (You see?), across Jordan, the death to self. See?

LUST OF

SHOW.US.THE.FATHER.IT'LL.SATISFY_ CONNERSVILLE.IN WEDNESDAY_ 53-0610

E-88 O Christ, the lovely One, the Darling of God's bosom, coming down from the ivory palaces of heaven, clothed in the form of sinful flesh, humiliated Himself, born in a barn, in a stable, why, Lord? Why? Because lambs are not born in houses. Lambs is born in barns. And then led Him away to Calvary, like a sheep to the slaughter: led Him, like Abel led his lamb. And they led Him away, humiliated.

Looking back, seeing the people and them gambling and spitting on Him, His face full of mockery spit, but He was willing to bear it all that we could be saved. And then we poor, alienated Gentiles, carried away with dumb idols and lust of the world, living here in this day just before His coming, and then ashamed to take our way with the Lord's despised few.

LAW.HAVING.A.SHADOW_ CHICAGO.IL THURSDAY_ 56-0621

E-48 But now, there's a new Spirit in there. And it's not the spirit of a lamb, neither the spirit of William Branham; It's the Spirit of Jesus Christ that makes me love the unlovable and makes me do things that I thought I never would do. It's Him.

But there was something in me that wasn't me, said, "You're supposed to be in Chicago tonight." And it was twelve-thirty at home. 'Bout two hundred and eighty miles to drive through that traffic. I said, "Lord, I'm going. You help me." And He did, I got just in time. I was here.

See, it's something in you. "Those... there is therefore now no condemnation (can't be) for those that are in Christ, for they don't walk after the lust of the flesh; they walk after the Spirit." And if you love the Lord, you want to do everything you can to please Him.

QUEEN.OF.SHEBA_ SASKATOON.SK FRIDAY_ 57-0517

E-22 May I say this with reverence. It's tonight that when God calls men, many times he has to step out of the political ranks, out of the social ranks, and walk out into a place, if it would be necessary, if his associates had to say, "He's gone crazy, or become a holy roller." But it's that secret place; it's that spot. Oh, don't miss it, my loyal friends. Every one of you that's received Christ, of all your teachings, your fine pastors, and your great affiliations with your churches (which is all right, don't misunderstand me), but you're trying to place that before this. But that little time that God gets you away from all your associates, gets you way back in the corner, brings you into a place, in a secret place, where that the wisdom of the world becomes so unsufficient, to where all the education that you ever had, doesn't mean nothing, into that divine Presence, till the lust of the eye gets so dim you can't see it anymore; until the love of money is completely vanished away from you; and when you stand there alone with Jehovah God, that's the things that counts. That's the things that makes you forget all you ever knew.

E-31 Has Christ become such a satisfaction to you, that all your desires are all met in Him? Has He become the very fountain of your life? Or are you trying to push Him away and satisfy your longing with the lust of this world? Or in another trick of the enemy, are you trying to satisfy this longing by joining the church and neglecting that great spiritual birth, which is the only remedy that you can be saved by? For the very Author of Life said, "Except a man be borned again of the Spirit of God, he will in no wise enter in."

E-15 But in the garden of Eden, the devil chose the man's head. God his heart. And now the devil comes into the intellectuals and has brought his religion to intellectual. You'll know--never know God intellectually; you've got to know Him by a new birth, being borned again which comes from the heart.

The pride of life, the lust of the flesh, what the eye can see... But when God comes in, He goes into a man's heart and makes him believe things by faith that his eyes cannot see, "for faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." The devil just switched it around. And he's doing it to the Pentecostal church.

I see them year by year, falling right off into that same condition that's downed the other churches and bound them. It's exactly the truth. Knowledge, knowledge, wisdom's all we'll ask for. And more knowledge they get, they think they could speak better, use better education, talk psychology. And when they're doing that, they're taking people away from God's Holy Bible. They're taking them away from life and faith.

33-4 We come to temperance. Now, you've had faith first. You have to have that to begin with. Then you add virtue to your faith, if it's the right kind of virtue. Then you add knowledge, if it's the right kind of knowledge. Now, you're going to add temperance.

Temperance doesn't mean: stop drinking alcohol here either. No, no. Temperance doesn't mean alcoholic cure, not in this case. This is Bible temperance, Holy Spirit temperance. That's just one of the lust of the flesh. But we're talking about Holy Spirit temperance. That means how to control your tongue, not be a tattler; how to control your temper, not fly off every time anybody speaks cross to you. Oh, my. Boy, a lot of us are going to fall off 'fore we get started, aren't we? See? Then we wonder why God's not in His church doing miracles and things that He used to do.

According as--as his Divine power has given unto us all things... (Who's going to inherit the earth and all things? Sure pertaineth... Yeah, all right.)... that pertaineth unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory unto glory:

Whereby are we given to the exceeding great precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the Divine nature, having escaped the corruption... (Listen to that.)... that is in the world through lust.

E-24 Well, you say, that man had money, and it was taken from him because the money, rather... Jesus was taking it because that was his earthly possessions. But it don't altogether mean money. There's just a lot more things that we hold to us just as much as a idol as that young man held to that money, popularity, denominational difference, fashions, lust of the world, idols, everything. There's so many things that--that men today... Instead of being rich holding to things they--of money, they--they hold to different things like that, just as tight as that young man, because they're not interested in the investment that Christ is offering them.

It might mean that Christ would call you out of the group that you're in. Christ might call you out from the card party that you have in your church, the bunko game, the society that you belong to. And if you hold to that, you're--you're just as much making a rashal mistake as this young rich man did. See? Though being a prince, though heir to the throne of Egypt, he focused himself away from the lust of the world. SATAN'S.EDEN_ JEFF.IN V-2 N-20 SUNDAY_ 65-0829

17-3 Now, hatred, and death, and eternal separation from God in this Eden, lust, filth, perversion. How? By sowing the wrong seed.

Reminds me of the vision I seen before I ever met the Pentecostal people, of that man going around the world in white. You've heard me tell it many times. One came in behind him sowing seeds of discord, but he won it fairly in Eve in the garden of Eden by the lust of Eve for sin--the lust for Eve of sin.

Then if Eve lusted for knowledge, it was sin. And when we lust for knowledge (want a Ph.D., LL.D.) it's sin to do so. That's a strong statements, but that's the Truth. No matter how strong it is, it's still the Truth. See? To lust for knowledge, understanding...

The thing of it is, is today we don't try to establish the Word of God in the people's hearts. We're trying to establish ourselves. Churches are trying to establish the doctrine of the church in a person's heart. We are commanded to establish the Word of God. Paul said, "I didn't come to you with enticing words of man that your faith might rest up in the knowledge of men, but I come to you in power, in manifestations of the Holy Ghost that your faith might rest in God.

If I did what the devil wanted me to do, it's hard to tell what I would, but I--if I do what I wanted to do like I did before I was saved... But now, there's a new Spirit in there. And it's not the spirit of a lamb, neither the spirit of William Branham; It's the Spirit of Jesus Christ that makes me love the unlovable and makes me do things that I thought I never would do. It's Him. Why, if it was me, you know what I'd say tonight? I'd have called up Mr. Boze and said, "Say, boy, look, I've been up for two nights; I haven't had a bit of sleep." I ain't slept but about two hours in the last two nights, going, coming, and people at the door and everything else. And way in the night, and try to lay down a few minutes, and get you up again, and it's broke, and then that goes away; here's another, till I'd stayed home.

23-1 Oh, what a perversion, what a age, what a time we're... How deceitful it is. Oh, all these things and don't know it, a perfect perverted spirit is in the man. He's veiled from the lust of Satan, and the woman is too. It is the satanic spirit of a great society. See?

They don't know, but they're an organizations. Women with shorts on belongs to a organization. Men dressed like that is on a organization. I'll give you the abbreviation of it: BSS., Big Sisters' Society. So that's what they belong to. Come out there with a big sissy society with them little old pants on, big old knotty-looking, dirty-looking thing.

360-3 LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.9, A quick look at those Scriptures which involve the Lord Jesus overcoming will bring out the truth of this proposition. In Matthew 4, wherein Jesus is tempted of the devil, He overcame the personal temptations of Satan by the Word, and by the Word only. In each of the three major trials that corresponded exactly to the temptation of the Garden of Eden, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life, Jesus overcame by the Word. Eve fell to the personal temptation of Satan by failing to use the Word. Adam fell in direct disobedience to the Word. But Jesus overcame by the Word. And right now, let me say that this is the only way to be an overcomer, also it is the only way that you can know if you are overcoming, because that Word CAN'T fail.
