And if you'll take the right motive towards that objective, you'll get there. You've got to have the right motive towards your objective. That's the way I always find the will of God. First, think, "If it's the will of God, then my motive and my objective to it..." If it's the right motive, then the objective, I have. First, find the will of God, and then find your objective, and then test your motive and see if your motive is right. But as long as you got doubt in a heart whether it's the will of God, or your motive or objective is wrong, how is it going to move? If you have a selfish motive it won't work. If your objective is to make money for yourself or something, why, you'll never succeed. And then try to do something outside of the will of the Lord, then it won't work to begin with. Then if He told a man could--could do it, it would have to be God speaking through the man. And the only way a man could know it was God, would be the right objective, or, and the right motive. If your objective is right and your motive is right, then it's not you speaking anymore. It's the Father that dwelleth in you. "Take no thought what ye shall say in that hour; for it's not ye that speaks; it's My Father that dwelleth in you. He doeth the speaking." What promises, not limited just to healing, but to whatsoever. Now, you've got to find your objective, and your motive, and then the will of God. And if it is the will of God, and your motive's right, and your objective is right, then the mountain will fall. But outside of that, you could scream till you got hoarse and died, and never would move. See? Your... First thing, it's got to be the will of God; the next thing it's your objective in going and do it; and then the motive you have. You want to be some big person... Not what I said, what you said. See, if you don't doubt in your heart but believe that what you have said will come to pass, you can have what you have said. But now, before you can have that... And the way I always try to think of that, there has to be the right kind of a motive and the right objective. And if your motive is right, your objective is right, and your faith is right, because that you feel that it's the will of God, nothing can keep it from happening. Just think of that. EXPECTATIONS_ RICHMOND.VA WEDNESDAY_ 61-0308 E-29 But "expectancy," that's a great thing, to expect something. You usually get what you expect. Some people come to the meeting and say, "Well, I didn't--didn't expect to get anything out of it." Well, they won't. But those who expect to get something, God will give them their expectations, if their doing it reverently and in the fear of God. Now, always to find out something first is to find whether it's the will of God or not. And then if it's the will of God, then your object--objective to it, and then your motive in doing it. If it's the will of God, and your objective is right, and your motive is right, it's got to happen. There's just no way to keep it from happening. So first find the will, if it's God's will. And then, what--what's your objective in doing it? What's...? If it's selfish, you'll--you'll never--you'll--you'll never get it done, that's all. It's got to be real clean and clear before God or it just won't happen. That's all. It's... You got to always keep that on your mind, that it's got to be clean and clear. Your cups must be clean and clear before God or God cannot work with you. I.HAVE.HEARD.BUT.NOW.I.SEE_ SHREVEPORT.LA V-7 N-3 SATURDAY_ 65-1127E 66 See, we don't use the gift of God for commercial. No, no. He could tell me where it was at, but I don't have any need of it. I wouldn't even have faith enough to ask Him. See? If I had a need of it, I believe if I'd ask Him, He'd tell me. But first (You see?), your motives and objectives has to be right. You have to have reasons for this. God don't give you those things just because you ask. And you cannot ask in faith unless there's a real objective to that, to be in the will of God. See? If you want to be well, what do you want to be well for? See? If you want to be healed, what's the reason you want to be healed? What are you telling God? What do you want to do with you life when you get healed? See? There's got to be... You've got to have a motive and objective, and they have to be right according to the will of God. And then's when the faith is revealed to you, and God by His sovereign grace places that faith in there, then it's over. See? Now. See? UNCHANGEABLE.GOD_ PHOENIX.AZ SATURDAY_ 62-0120 E-26 Now, when Jesus said, "If you ask the Father anything in My Name, I'll do it," now that's just right straight down off of the shoulder. "I will do it." And He was... Now, it's on conditions: if you'll believe when you ask. Now, in Mark 11:22 we find out that Jesus said, "If you say to this mountain, 'Be thou plucked up and cast into the sea,' and don't doubt, but believe that what you have said will come to pass; you can have what you've said," See? Now. Now, the thing... You just couldn't get out here and say, "Mountain, move down." You've got to have a motive and objective to that. You see? And that... You've got to find out first if it's the will of God, and then your motive and objective to the will of God, and then, speak to it, and stand there; it'll come down (Yes, you see?), if you get the conditions right. But you've got to have the conditions right. JESUS.CHRIST.THE.SAME_ MIDDLETOWN.OH SUNDAY_ 58-0323 E-36 They never knew Him that day in saying a rosary. They knew Him that day in a, what we call an apostle's creed. It's not in the Scriptures, the apostle's creed. It's not... They didn't know Him in the doxology. But they know Him as the Person, God manifested in the flesh, in His mighty works, and His deeds, and His manifestation. Then we'd have to go back and see what His manifestations was. Now, do not listen with any selfish motive. Let your objective be right. Let your motive be right. For anything outside of the right motive and the right objection, God can't use it. Jesus said once, "If you say to this tree--if you say to it--to this mountain rather, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt, but believe that what you've said is being done, you can have what you said." What could move a mountain? DISCERNMENT.OF.SPIRIT_ PHOENIX.AZ V-9 N-3 TUESDAY_ 60-0308 19 Now, if we will notice the motives and objectives of the Old Testament prophets, them men had one objective, and that was Jesus Christ. They had one thing that their whole theme of the Old Testament was built around the coming Messiah. They--they did not go out and do things just for money or for fame. They had one thing, they were anointed with the Spirit of God, and they predicted the coming Messiah. And those men were so anointed with the Spirit until they sometimes acted like the Spirit that was within them, they spoke seemingly of themselves. Watch how the Spirit of God made them men act. PARADOX_ BAKERSFIELD.CA V-22 N-5 THURSDAY_ 64-0206B 140 If the world's a turning, then you say, "He stopped the world." Well, if He stopped the world, then the science says, that gravitation, in turning, holds it up there, then the world would've dropped itself. But it went right on moving, at the hand of God. A paradox. Why? Oh, you say, "That was a long time ago." That is today, the same God. Jesus said in Matthew, not Matthew, it's St. Mark 11:22, "If you say to this mountain, 'Be moved,' and don't doubt in your heart, but believe that what you've said will come to pass, you can have what you've said." That's defy nature, but you have to have a motive and objective to that, that's connected with it. Find out in the Word if it's supposed to be done, and then God's calling you to do it, and it'll do it. When you know that it's spoken in the Word to do it, and then God's called you to do it, then it'll happen; if your motive and objective is right to God. That's why visions take place, why things are going the way... You have to know, and know God promised it this hour. "As it was in the days of Lot." He promised in the last days, then He calls to do that. It's no problem. God said so. That settles it. Sure, it's, it--it's a paradox. You can't explain it. No man can explain how certain things will be predicted and never one time fail to happen. It's a paradox. But God said do it. It's the day. That's the day we're living in. "The sun stood still." I.HAVE.HEARD.BUT.NOW.I.SEE_ SHREVEPORT.LA V-7 N-3 SATURDAY_ 65-1127E 68 But because of the selfishness got among it, the objectives was wrong, signing up a bunch of stuff "it would be this way," when they promised they would do it for the Kingdom of God, but looked like it's for themselves. See? And it won't work; no selfish thing will work. Your motives and objectives has to be exactly, perfectly right, then you have faith there. "If our hearts condemn us not, then we have confidence." See, see? We've got to have confidence. "I want this to the honor and glory of God." Then faith has a--a channel to move into; if it doesn't, then you've got mental, intellectual faith, and not genuine faith from God. That intellectual faith will get you nowhere. Might get you emotional, but it won't get you the healing that you're looking for. GOD'S.ONLY.PROVIDED.PLACE.OF.WORSHIP_ SHP.LA V-7 N-4 SUNDAY_ 65-1128M 108 Now, you can't take this... Your sincerity and all that you want to confess, you just can't take it to the Methodist altar, to a Baptist altar, to a Pentecostal altar. But there is a altar somewhere that He chose that He--to put His Name in it, and He would meet you at that place. Now, if you get everything running just right, it's going to run; everything's set in order. If there's a short in that wire, that light won't come on, because it's been grounded. And when you'll take one of God's Words or one of His places, and in your own heart have selfish objectives, it'll ground the power of God right there. If you do it because you want to be smart, you want to be different from somebody else, or something, right there it's grounded; it'll blow the fuse. You're wrong. You've got to come with sincerity, with all your heart. Your motives and your objectives, placed right on God. Then search for His place, find where He said, and bring it there. See? His objective was good, and--to bring a revival in the city, bring the people back to God. But he never consulted the way God told him to do it. See? CHRIST.REVEALED.IN.HIS.OWN.WORD_ JEFF.IN V-4 N-10 SUNDAY_ 65-0822M 38 Therefore, if the churches would see that and could believe it in that manner, it wouldn't be one trying to jerk the football away from the other fellow when he's running with it. He'd be protecting that one (See?), when real true motive and objective. Wouldn't be one trying to say, "Hey, I got this too, I--I... This is me; this..." See, God can't use a man. There's so much impersonation follows it, and that's Satan; and the people can't realize that. They're trying to take the ball from somebody that's been give it.
