But the thing I want to try to get to you is this: That a man that is in Christ with the Holy Ghost, can bear with a man when he's wrong, long-suffering, gentle, patient. He's sweet, humble, faithful, filled with the Spirit, never negative, always positive. He's a different person. Not just a man that, "We once had it. If we shouted, we had it, us Methodists. Oh, when we shouted, we was in the land." That's good, that's all right, I believe that too. Then the Pentecostal come along speaking with tongues; they had it; everyone that spoke in tongues had it. You get scared; and that's the reason scare, a scare... Fear companies doubt. Love companies faith. I love my Father. I'm not afraid of Him, because I love Him. "But, oh, if I did this, if I did that..." See, there you come to the legal side again. Never go to the legal side; it's negative. The religious people of Houston are interested in human lives. And that's what we are gathered here for, is to call on a power that's beyond all manmade laws and powers, something who can change the hearts of man like He did Pharaoh in Egypt. And He's God. And we must stop now looking at the negative side and go to looking at the positive side. Anyone can say anything they wish to. And they can have impressions. But when God really sends something, He'll vindicate that to be the truth. See? God will speak of it. The Bible said in Hebrews, "God testifying of His gifts..." Hebrews 11:10. Is that right? God testifying, then you got God's testimony. The Holy Spirit is the gift of God. You believe it? When He comes to you, He'll testify that It's there. All God's gifts testify. It isn't nothing you try to make believe. That won't work. You got to be positive. Then he goes on to show what the perfection is. Now, it's a strange thing that this is so much thought of people; they say, "Well, I'm weak; my faith is not very much; I'm not a very good Christian." That's just what the devil wants you to say. You're just talking his language right then. See? You mustn't never say that. Don't never let your testimony be negative; let it be positive all the time. "I am saved. I have God in my heart. I believe Him with all my heart." Do you believe in Divine healing? "With all of my heart." Let your--your testimony always and your thoughts, everything... Never permit a negative thought to come in your mind if you can help it. When it starts that, don't entertain it. Well, you say, "I can't help the thoughts from coming." Well, that'll be like the farmer that said he couldn't stop--he couldn't stop the birds from flying over his place, but he could sure stop them from roosting." So that's a--that's a good thing. You see? You can't help the thoughts when they come, but don't--don't--don't entertain them; just pass it on. "No, sir. Jesus Christ is my Saviour; all things are mine by God. And I--I'm going to keep them. I'm going to testify of them." And God can only bless you as you confess that He has done it for you. See, He's the High Priest of our confession. Is that right? Hebrews 3. He said that He's the High Priest of our confession. He can only do for us as we accept it, and believe it, and confess it. And each one of us wants say that our church does that. The only way to be positive sure of this night church, is to go back and see what kind of a faith that they had to contend for. And then we should earnestly contend for that type of faith. Don't you believe it? Contend for that faith. And I want you to notice; she didn't wait till she was positive it was going to happen. She started testifying about it right away. She didn't wait till she felt life, so she could be positive she was going to have the baby. Just as soon as she heard His Word, she took Him at His Word, and she started testifying and praising God for the baby before she felt anything... Give us more Marys around here that can take God at His Word and praise Him whether you feel anything or not. Take Him at His Word. God's trying to find somebody who'll take His Word.
