NO ONE CAN TAKE YOUR PLACE

133 PERFECT.FAITH JEFF.IN V-6 N-11 63-0825E

Just like the colored sister said, that time in her testimony, she said, "I'm--I'm not what I ought to be, and I'm not what I want to be; and then I'm not what I used to be." She knowed she come somewhere, something happened. And that's the way it is. If God, when I was an alien from Him, so loved me till He stooped down to get me and pick me up, that gives me confidence that He wants to use me. He's got a purpose in doing it. He seen something in me. He seen something in you. He had a reason to save you. Look at the people that's unsaved today. Look at the millions He could've took beside you, but He took you. Amen. No one can take your place. Amen. You're in God's economy. No one can do it. That's His love to you.

Then won't your love reach right back to Him? And there's a love affair. No matter what the situation is, its circumstances is governed by this love that creates faith: that God loves you and you love God, and you love one another, and--and that brings the faith. All right. Then it can't--it can't keep from bringing out just exactly what God promised it would do.

16-6 THREE.KINDS.OF.BELIEVERS JEFF.IN N-3 N-6 63-1124E

Joseph, another believer. He couldn't help being what he was. He was a prophet; God made him a prophet. He didn't want to be different from his brothers, but he was different. God made him what he is. Nobody else could take his place,

Nobody can take your place. No matter how little... You say, "I'm just a housewife." Nobody can take your place. God in His great economy has so set your--the Body of Christ in order, till there's no one can take your place.

How I would like to take Billy Graham's place (any of us ministers), but we can't do it. But just remember, Billy can't take our place. See? We all have a place. Some of us are evangelists, some prophets, some teachers, some pastors; whatever we are--some housewives, some mechanics, some farmers, whatever it is, God has set you in your place. See?

Joseph was a prophet. He couldn't help because he could interpret dreams. He couldn't help because that he saw visions. Watch how true he was. No matter if it cost him his fellowship with his brothers, he was true, because he believed those dreams. He believed that the dream that he had that they would all bow to him (the sheaves would), it come to pass, because he believed it. He was a genuine believer.

There's no one can take your place, your peculiarity. How often I have wondered how I would like to take Oral Roberts' place, how I would like to take Billy Graham's place, somebody like that. Like Billy Graham, go speak to a audience of people, call sinners to the altar, forget it, go home not have to stand there and wrestle against... I cannot be Billy Graham, but neither can Billy Graham be me. We are both... I cannot be Oral Roberts, Oral Roberts cannot be me.

13-1 REPROACH.FOR.THE.WORD JEFF.IN V-2 N-16 62-1223

Can you remember the disciples returning back and rejoicing because they figured that they were counted worthy to stand the reproach of His Name? He said, "All that live godly in Christ shall bear a persecution," the reproach of the Word.

You always have to stand this reproach in order to give your testing to see. Every man that comes to Christ must first be child-trained for the--for the purpose that God has ordained you for. And remember, if you could just keep quiet... Remember, if He's called you for this, there's nothing that can keep it from happening. There's not enough devils in torment but what God's Word will be made manifest. You're born for a purpose. And nobody can take your place. You might have impersonators and everything else, but they'll never take your place. That's right. God's Word will triumph. It cannot fail.

There's where every Christian ought to stand, knowing that--that... And trials will come up and seem every way to you. But remember, God has a purpose, and it all will work right.

E-46 VOICE.OF.THE.SIGN DENHAM.SP.LA 64-0321E

Moses, no one else could take his place. No one else could do the job. He was ordained to do it. And brother, sister, if you've got Eternal Life you were ordained to do a certain thing, maybe a good housewife, maybe something else. But nobody can take your place. God has made you a place. Don't try to take somebody else's place. That's carnal impersonations, see, shows there's something wrong with you. Be what you are, just exactly. Don't be nothing else.

E-33 IDENTIFIED.MASTERPIECE.OF.GOD YUMA.AZ 64-1205

Things different. We different one from another. We notice in the animal life. We find out in the animal life there's one animal God made a beast of burden, like the horse, and--and he has to work. And the cow is a sacrifice, and--but the--the lion and the tiger roams the forest without any labor or anything.

He made a great big animal like an elephant, then made a little bitty fellow like a mouse. Now, who's there to tell God what to do and how to do it? He does it his own way.

And He makes the mountains; He makes the deserts; He makes the--the seas; He makes the plains. He makes one kind of tree hard wood, palm, and--and so forth. He does it. He makes man different. He gives us each one a different place. And a palm tree can never be a hickory; a hickory tree can never be a palm. Nobody can take your place, and you shouldn't try to take anybody else's place, because you are an individual to God. And God has a purpose for you. He made you thus.

You say, "Why did He do it?" He's sovereign. He's got a reason for it being that way. But we find out that we're all guarded by the Word.

162 BROKEN.CISTERNS PHOENIX.AZ V-19 N-4 65-0123

You don't have to have any control, somebody tell you what to do with it. God leads each individual in the--the way He wants you to do. You are a--an individual, yourself. You are a part of God. Nobody can take your place. And there is no way to have to go to somebody, and say now, I'll have to "do this with it," or I have to "do that with it." No, sir. God uses it the way that--that He wants to. When you're thirsty, you know enough to drink.

E-32 IDENTIFIED.MASTERPIECE.OF.GOD YUMA.AZ 64-1205

That's one of the saddest stories. To think that the man that was made in the image of his Creator, and was given a wall to stand behind, that that Word could never fail... That's--that's the Christian's hope; it's his shield; it's his armor. It's his rock today, is stay behind the Word: every believer. Now you must never get from behind that. When you do, you--you're opening the door to the enemy.

When they say, "Oh, well, you can do a little of this, and a little of that," God wants you to separate yourself from everything that's called sin, completely set aside for Him and for He only. He has a purpose in your life each individual, that no one else on the face of the earth can take your place. God's got something for you. You're made like that. You was did that way for a purpose. God's sovereign in His Word.

Now let's take, secondarily, He had two covers of wings over His feet. What does that mean? Humility in His Presence.

That's the hard thing for a man that's got a position. That's the hard thing for the teen-age girl that's pretty. That's a hard thing for the teen-age boy that's popular in school, a star in basketball.

Oh, young fellow, how God could--could use you, if you'd just let Him do it! Young girl, you in your fine pretty little queenish looks that God gave you, why don't you use that influence to the Kingdom of God, to what God gave it to you for, that virtue of womanhood. Use it that way, you're--you're bound to come out right, then. But any other way, you've got to fail, see, you'll--you'll be a total failure. God made you, and nobody else can take your place, nobody can fill that place. You must be that way.

Now, humbled in His Presence, these Seraphims, humble in His Presence.

CAN TAKE YOUR PLACE

E-59 TIME.TESTED.MEMORIALS.OF.GOD JEFF.IN 57-0818

Brother, it's not plume trimming time; it's not educational days; it's time-testing time. It's a time that God is testing His church to find the battle scars of hard trials and fights and battles; that's the one who'll ride by His side.

How Elisha was tested and proved before he could wear a prophet's robe. How Elisha throwed that robe around his shoulder, how he must be the right man. Elisha watched him there in the field when he was plowing. God said, "That's the man. That's the man that can wear that garment. That's the man that can wear that robe. He can take your place." Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

E-36 WHY PHOENIX.AZ 60-0309

Why? God made a way. Then why don't you receive it? Now, you could kinda straighten this medicine proposition out. You could kindy wonder about that, because it helped some and killed some. It's not too accurate, because every person's body is not like a guinea pig, and we all are different one from another.

I want to get on that this week, if I could. How that one tries to impersonate another. You can never do that. God never made two people alike. You just go the way the Holy Spirit leads you. We might take the millions that's in the world, and no two of them's got the same thumb print. That's right. God made them different. He's a God of variety. He made them different. And don't try to impersonate the next fellow; you do what God tells you to do and stay with it, because there's no one in heaven, or in earth, can take your place. God made you for a purpose. Stay with that.

259 UNCERTAIN.SOUND JEFF.IN V-16 N-3 60-1218

Now, He can provide Himself a Church; He don't have to have me. He don't have to have you. No, He don't. He doesn't have to have that. He can provide. Somebody else can take your place. Be careful some don't take your crown. He don't have to--to have us, but we have to have Him. If you ever lived, you've got to have Him. Because He is the only One, as Peter said when He said, "Will you all go?"

So when He got to tell them the Truth. He was a great man when He was healing all their sick. Oh, when He had signs and wonders following Him, He was a great man. But when He begin to tell them the Truth, then what happened? Then He become a fanatic, they walked away from Him. He turned around to the disciples. Remember, He was very independent, 'cause He was God. He turned around, said, "You want to go too?"

Peter said, "Lord, who would we go to? Where would we go? For You are the One that has the Words of Eternal Life, and we are sure of this." See, there is no uncertainty about That. "We are sure that You're the One that has It. We are not tossed about with every wind of doctrine. We know that You've got the Words of Eternal Life, 'cause no man can do the things You do unless God be in him," that's right, "be with him." Nicodemus said the same remark.

E-36 UNCERTAIN.SOUND BLOOMINGTON.IL 61-0415E

So there we have no--no sound of security in national defense. Our jobs, we have no security in our--our jobs. It's all uncertain. Let a man pass about thirty-five years old, they'll root you out. They'll get a young man so they won't have to retire you. And after you pass forty years old, you try to get a job even digging a ditch; you'll have to have a high school diploma before you can do it. And they've got a little button they can press, and then take care of that anyhow. Your jobs--you ain't got no security in your jobs. I don't know how true this is, but I've been told that there's more people out of work right now, than there was during the time of President Hoover's depression, because there's more people. What's the matter? It's just a place where there's no certainty in these things. You're not certain of your job. Somebody can take your place in the morning.
