Then when Joshua looked, he took the ark of the covenant, told them, said, "Gather yourselves out here; sanctify yourselves against tomorrow, and get ready, for you'll see the glory of God." Then he knowed God was with him.

Then he took the priests, and they put God first; the ark before the priests, before the congregation, made them stay back a certain distance until the ark went first.

Brother, sister, if you'll put God first in everything you do, you're bound to come out right. Put God first.

190 WITNESSES JEFF.IN V-25 N-6 53-0405E

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God." Have you ever witnessed that to be the truth? Put God first. Pay your tithes first. Pay everything first. Pay God. Pray first at morning. Pray all through the day. Give God the first place in everything. You'll be a witness.

A little friend of mine has been a wonderful little doctor. He believed in God but he just didn't accept Him. And last week, week before last it is now, he was led to Jesus Christ. He said his business and everything had picked up already; he hadn't said nothing about it. I said, "Don't worry, it'll come right along." You just start trusting God and watch how much more successful you are with your patients out there at the hospital and things. Put God first. Pray before you go to the home, and so forth, and find out.

Give me a preacher; give me a Christian; give me a housewife that's a Christian; give me a farmer or a factory worker that'll put God first in everything, I'll show you a man that'll be successful in the spite of all the devil can put on him. He seeks God first.

He thought he could do it. Seeing an Egyptian beating an Israelite, so he just killed him and covered him up. And when he did it, he become a refugee in another land, over in the land of Ethiopia. And he went over there and had married a wife. He was--got him a job herding sheep. And he married... Jethro, the priest of Midian, he married his daughter, and there was two children born to him. And he got a common laborer's job, a sheepherder, and had been herding sheep for forty years because he failed to put God first.

I think that's what been the matter with the churches. Brother, when it gets to a place that we put our church first instead of Christ, we're going right straight down. When you put them as an individual, put your church first, your social life first, instead of your spiritual life, you're going to fail.

And he said, "But first, make me a cake."

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all other things will be added unto you." Put God first. Put His Word first. Put His Spirit first. Put Him first. Instead of that, we put Him last.

"Bring me a little cake first."

What's she going to do? See, she's obedient to the Word. She turns and starts, not knowing why she's doing it. Men and women who are led by the Spirit of God sometimes do things they don't know they're doing. Turned and started into the house, and then she heard that voice again, that glorious word come from his mouth, "THUS SAITH THE LORD..." She knew who it was then. "The barrel will not be empty, neither shall the cruse run dry, until the day the Lord God sends rain on the earth." Why? She was willing. She put God first. She was sure that God would do something. She held on.

Then she heard... She started to turn again, and she heard a voice saying, "But bring me one first."

What do we learn here? Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. "How will I meet it?" I can't tell you, but you put God first. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these other things will be added."

See? And I've told the boys if--I've walked to the book stand, stand around, watch a few minutes to see an old dad come up and say, "How much is that book?"

"It's fifty cents."

And he'd reach down, "Only got..." Give it to him anyhow; let it go. See? Anyone that can't afford it, and anything like that, some poor person, let him have it. That's right. It'll come some other way, somewhere. And so, it always has, and it always will, if you just put God first; that's all; put God first.

What do we get there? "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, all other things will be added." "How do I know, Brother Branham? How do I know?" Only thing I know, put God first and move all. Sacrifice; mix the oil, mix the--the Word and the Spirit together, and lay yourself upon the Cross, and say, "Here I am, Lord." Put God first in everything.

I want you to notice, Brother Cash, what made his success (what I gathered was it), he put God first in everything that he done. See?

And how that Joshua, the great warrior, stood on the banks over there after he had seen God moving with Moses. And he stood there, and there it was in the month of April, his mother told him. And all the snow waters up in Judaea in the mountains was melting, and Jordan was all the way across the plains here. But the great Joshua stood on the other side, and he seen God. And He told him to get the people together and have them to sanctify themselves, to get ready, because He was going to open up the Jordan. And how that the great Joshua put God first, put the priests and the ark of the covenant first.

That's a real lesson; wish we had time to dwell on it awhile. Put God first if you want to see something. If the doctor told you he's done all he can do for you, the man's honest. Then if he's done all he can do, put God out there now. Put God there and keep him there. Take God for your Healer and see what He does. The doctor's limited; God's unlimited. The doctor can do anything. He can-he can work on two senses: what he can see and what he can feel, the only two of his senses that would declare anything. God... My, He--He--He's un--untapped resources He's got, all things. He can just speak the word, and it'll be so. Put Him first.

What we need today is no more--is mothers and people consecrated; put God first. That's it. We put everything else first. "Well, I belong to the society down here." Oh, I belong to a society too; it's up there. See, that's the society to belong to, society of Jesus Christ: poor, degraded, outcast people. I'm so glad I can say I'm one of them. That's right. So glad to belong to that society. Separate yourself; come out from the world. Don't be partakers with them. Abraham separated himself and God blessed him, and give every promise that He give him; He confirmed them to him when he separated himself.

I think that ought to be the sole duty of every man and woman that attends these meetings, regardless of what somebody else said. You've been brought into the Presence of Christ. No matter how successful, or unsuccessful, no matter how great, or how poor, no matter what you are, at the first opportunity, fall at His feet and say, "Lord, be merciful to me." Then come, tell the businessmen you'd like to join their ranks. Put God first.

This most miserable man, how we would look at him this morning if we could pull back the curtain, and see if that was continually his attitude, to turn from the Presence of Christ, when he'd had the opportunity to stand by Him. What a miserable person that is yet today, because he lives somewhere. And it might be you and I after this meeting today. It depends on our attitude when we're in His Presence. Always accept it.

Now, you say, "Oh, if I can only be a Micaiah." You can be; you are. You are too, honey. You're a Micaiah the prophet. What can you do? Open your mind. What am I trying to tell you this morning? The Word of the Lord. See? Open your mind; say, "Now, you know, I do believe I can be healed."

"Well, what is it then? Is it the Word of the Lord?"

Sure It's the Word of the Lord. And this guy here says, "The days of miracles is past; you can't do this, and..." Forget about it. Put God first. Here comes the Word of the Lord, and he spoke It, and It was so.

104 IN.HIS.PRESENCE JEFF.IN V-11 N-4 62-0909E

Be with these people. Many of them are going to travel the dark roads tonight. Many of them will travel many miles. Don't let nothing happen to them, Lord. They come across the country to sit here to listen to the countdown to see how close we was to the end time. Now, I've asked them to go away, placing God before them, always before them, before anything else. Before their trip, before their move, before their--before they get up, after they go to bed, always before they sleep, wherever it is, put God first! "For He is on my right hand, and I shall not be moved." Then may their hearts rejoice to know that they have what they've asked for, because God promised it, and their flesh shall rest in hope. Grant it, Lord, for we ask it in Jesus Christ's Name. Amen.

How's he going to do it? The natural man looking through the glass there says, "Now, here You brought me over here, and here I am. Look at the opposition. Why, they're all on the inside with their slings. If we ever get close to that wall, woe unto us. They got rocks laid in there, the big slings... They got spears; they got bows; they got everything laying in there. And they just..."

But, see, Joshua put God first. And when he... It isn't how you're going to get there. That's up to God. Just keep on moving; follow the Word. He said, "March around seven days. And on the seventh day, march seven times. And at the last time around, sound the trumpet." God's place to take the natural away, and the spiritual moved in, and the walls fell. And they went right straight up and took the thing. Yes, sir. God had a V-day then.
