He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.

Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.

Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts [are] thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction [are] in their paths.

With your heads bowed, I want to ask you something. Have you been aiming your sights the wrong way, children? Have you been wasting your living, the wrong things? You know good and well you got to die one of these days.

Now we want to draw this first into our mind, that there is not one thing that can destroy us until the purpose of He Who created us has been fulfilled. There could be nothing. We are made for a purpose. This church was built here for a purpose. This foundation was not dug, and the cornerstone laid, and the blocks laid into the--the building, and the roof and the interior was not put here just to see if it could be done. It was put here by a purpose, or for a purpose.

Your home that you live in was not just accidentally put there or somebody just wasting some time. Your home was made for a purpose, to serve a purpose.

And dad, you and mother there that maybe hasn't raised your children the way you should. Maybe that's the reason they're out in the world tonight. Why don't you just go over where mother is now, and put your arm around her, and say, "Dear, it's true. We been as a prodigal, wasting our substance with riotous living. We can never be satisfied like this. Let's come to Christ tonight.

The little woman was down praying, not knowing that walking down the mountain come the prophet. He'd had a vision where to go to. God don't lead His people blindly; He tells them where they're going. He was looking into that city. Oh, it was terrible. People were starving to death, and screaming for water, and hungry people... It's a reflection of immorality. It's a reflection of sin.

And this nation's in for it. You can't... The balances, even the law of nature would not let it be, when we're--when we're wasting money with riotous living, and half of the world's starving to death (and they're all human beings to which Christ died for).

You know what you've done; now confess your sins. If any of you out there has one speck of doubt in your heart, take it out right now and tell God to forgive you. If you're not right with God, tell God to forgive you. And if you don't, and you're not right with God, it ain't going to do you one bit of good to come through here. You're just wasting your time. That is true. Now, is that right, brethren? That's right.

I'd stopped and had offered a little word of prayer, as usual, and telling Father that just what I had need of, to provide it. I don't believe in wasting anything or destroying; never shot a bird in my life for a target practice or anything else. What I hunt, I eat, or give to someone that does eat it. I don't believe in wasting anything. I don't believe in doing those things, because it's not right.

I'm a conservationist. I do not believe in killing and wasting. I teach my boys, them who are hunting with me, never take nothing 'less you're fixing to eat it. See? Leave it alone. Don't shoot a bird just for a target. See, that's not right. Got a target? Set it up out there and shoot at it.

... put here for that purpose. And to waste it, is just like wasting anything else.

But with God, it's eternity, so I must be deeply sincere with God. And then if I am sincere He'll hear me. But if I'm not sincere, there's no need of me wasting God's time listening to me.

And that's where it's come to today, amongst people. There doesn't seem to be the depths of sincerity that--that they ought to have.

It's nothing--nothing so mysterious. It's finding God, to getting yourself out of the way and letting the Holy Spirit use you to whatever He wants to do. That's it. The main thing, of any gift, is getting your own ideas away, and let Christ. Then whatever It said, if you want to know whether it's Christ or not... Just a sensation, leave it alone. But if it's just an emotion, leave that alone. But if it's written in the Word, then it's God. Always judge everything, that any spirit tells you, by the Word. The Word, don't never get away from that Word; if you do, you're lost.

The thing to do is just--just say and make up your mind that it's God, and God said so, and I'm going to meet His requirements and that settles it forever. Amen. God said so. Go out to my pastor, say, "Pastor, the Bible tells us to call the elders, anoint them in oil, pray, the prayer of faith shall save the sick. That's all I have to know." Amen.

With your heads bowed, I want to ask you something. Have you been aiming your sights the wrong way, children? Have you been wasting your living, the wrong things? You know good and well you got to die one of these days.
