YE HAVE NOT CHOSEN ME

ABRAHAM_  MACON.GA  WEDNESDAY_  55-0608, E-26    But God called Abraham, not because he was good, but because God chose Abraham.
Jesus said, "Ye have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you." Jesus said, "No man can come to the Father, or come to Me accept My Father draws him first."
Why are you out here tonight? Is because you're interested. Why ain't you at the ball game? Is because you love God more than you love ball games. That's the reason you're here. God called you and put a different desire in your heart.
Now, the election of God--God calls man by sovereign election. Do you notice it? I wish we had time to go into details. When you go to talking about the Word, the Holy Spirit just starts getting it right... just wonderful.

149-1 SMYRNAEAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.4
In John 6:37 & 44 it says, "All that the Father giveth Me shall come to me; and him that cometh to Me I shall in no wise cast out. No man can come to Me except the Father draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 1:12-13, "But as many as received Him to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name, which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, BUT OF GOD." Ephesians 1:4-5, "According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him. In love having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will." Now without getting too involved in the subject of the sovereignty of God (for that would take a book in itself) let me point out here that according to these verses, Jesus Christ is choosing His own bride just the same as men choose their brides today. The bride today does not simply decide she is going to take a certain man for a husband. No sir. It is the groom who decides and chooses a certain woman for his bride. (John 15:16, "Ye have not chosen Me; but I have chosen you.") Now according to the Word of God, the bride was chosen before the foundation of the world. This choosing of the bride was purposed in Himself. Ephesians 1:9. And in Romans 9:11 it says "That the purpose of God according to election might stand." You can't read it any other way. The heart purpose, the eternal purpose of God was to take a bride of His OWN choosing, and that purpose was in Himself, and being eternal was decreed before the foundation of the world.

JOHN 15:16
16    Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and [that] your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

  WHOSOEVER SHALL SAY

HAVE.FAITH.IN.GOD_  CHICAGO.IL  SUNDAY_  58-0105
E-5    In the book of St. Mark, the 11th chapter, and I wish to begin tonight at the 20th verse and read a portion, and then I want to quote back sometimes, the original translation. This is the King James.
And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
And Peter calling to remembrance said unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursed is withered away.
Jesus answering said unto them, Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Now, I want to quote that from the original, that last verse.
Verily, I say unto you, That whosoever shall say into this mountain be thou lifted up and thrown into the sea; and shall believe in his heart that it is being done, shall have what he saith.
My subject is, "Have Faith in God." Now, we are taught in God's blessed Word, that faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word or of the Word. Now, faith is also an experience. And many times faith is had, by a former experience makes faith grow. Faith being the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things that's not seen, so many people fail to find the real meaning of what faith is. Some people believe that faith is some sensation or some emotion. But the Bible said that faith is the substance of things hoped for.

SPEAK.TO.THIS.MOUNTAIN_  SAN.JOSE.CA  MONDAY_  59-1123
E-15    Now, then on this Scripture I could not justify myself to preach on it. How... Did you notice Jesus said here, "Verily, I say unto you, 'If ye shall say to this mountain, "Be plucked up, and cast into the sea"'; and don't doubt, but believe in your heart that what you have said shall come to pass; you can have what you said.'" Now, I could not justify that, because I could not understand it. How then could it be that I would say something, as a man, and then how... What if I said something that wasn't according to His Word and asked something wasn't according to His Word, then it would have to come to pass. Because Jesus said, "If you say..." not, "If I say..." but, "If you say..." placing it upon His apostles, upon the believers. "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, 'Be moved'; and don't doubt in their heart, but believe that what they have said shall come to pass; they can have what you said." Not what He said, what you say.

PARADOX_  JEFF.IN  V-15 N-8  SUNDAY_  61-1210
250    [Brother Branham begins humming "Only Believe," and then reads Mark 11:21-24--Ed.]
Peter calling to remembrance said unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which Thou cursed is withered away.
Jesus answering said unto him, Have faith in God.
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed,... be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, that, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.

PERFECT.FAITH_  JEFF.IN  V-6 N-11  SUNDAY_  63-0825E
  18    Now, let us read.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and you shall have them.
And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have ought against any: that your Father also... that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if You do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

MARK 11:23
23    For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

MARK 11:24
24    Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them].

MARK 11:25
25    And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

MARK 11:26
26    But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

  THE FEAR OF YOU

GENESIS 9:2
2    And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth [upon] the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.

DEUTERONOMY 11:25
25    There shall no man be able to stand before you: [for] the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.

      THE SAME KIND OF BRANCH

GOD.CALLED.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-27  SUNDAY_  58-1005E
21-5    Now, He said, a little while the world won't see Him no more. Well then, how would we see Him? We'd have to see His Spirit, if He's in us, and that Spirit would have to do the same that He did then, or it wouldn't be the same Spirit. "I am the Vine; ye are the branches." And if we bear... If the branch is in the vine, the branch will bear the kind of fruit that the vine produces to it. Where the first Vine come forth, the first branch that come out of the Vine was a Pentecostal branch: visions, powers, healings, baptism of the Holy Spirit, great signs and wonders; the next branch will have to be the same kind of branch. On down to the end, it'll have to be the same; that's what Jesus said.
Now, let's see what He was yesterday. If we can find what He was yesterday... (Now, I'm taking a short cut because of time, going to give about five minutes of instruction.) And if we can see what He was yesterday, then we can see what He is today and will be forever. Is that fair enough?

HEAR.YE.HIM_  SAN.JOSE.CA  FRIDAY_  59-0424E
E-73    And if the first Vine that come out of Jesus Christ produced a Pentecostal Church filled with the Holy Ghost and power, the second branch will do the same thing, the third branch will be another. It'll... Every branch It puts forth will be the same kind of branch.
We've left Him somewhere. Same way they did, at the Feast of Pentecost, the Feast of Pentecost. Jesus is the same God, the same Christ, the same Son of God. He's still the same as He was then, He is now; only His Spirit is in here to carry on His work as He promised He would do.

CONDEMNATION.BY.REPRESENTATION_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-13  SUNDAY_  60-1113
35-2    Father, so is it now at the near coming of Jesus again. Just like the vine; if the vine puts forth a branch, and that branch was a Pentecostal branch filled with the Holy Ghost and signs and wonders of fruits followed that branch; if that vine ever puts another branch it'll be the same kind of branch. We know that, Father, by nature itself. But we do know that You can graft any fruit that's pertaining to that into that vine, and it'll live by the vine.
And we know that we can take a orange tree and grow citrus fruits of different kinds, seven or eight. We can put lemons on it; we... It'll grow right in, because it's a citrus fruit. It'll grow, grapefruit and many other, tangerines and many other citrus fruits. But if that tree brings forth its own branch again, it'll be an orange, Lord. It'll be like the first one was. And we believe that there is to be a church in these last days, that will receive both former and latter rain. It'll be scattered throughout the world in this Laodicean Age. It'll be a church that's called back to the original faith in God. It'll be a church that'll have Jesus Christ walking in it, manifesting Himself; the shout of the King will be in it.

IT.WASN'T.SO.FROM.THE.BEGINNING_  SHREVEPORT.LA  SUNDAY_  60-1127M,  E-47    You're born into it, and if this Vine ever puts forth another branch, it'll be like a branch... If the Vine ever puts forth another branch, it'll be the same kind of branch that Acts was wrote on. It'll have the same doctrine. It'll have the same power. It'll show the same signs, because that's kind of the Church they had at the beginning.
Let's stop hybreeding ourselves. Let's go back to the Word like it was at the beginning. You like that? I live on that.
Let's speak to Him now that wrote That while we bow our heads.
Is there any in here this morning that feels like that you've been crossed up somewhere and you'd like for the Holy Spirit to come in this morning through a birth?

THINGS.WASN'T.SO.FROM.BEGINNING_  BEAUMONT.TX  FRIDAY_  61-0120
E-16    Now, you farmers, you Texans, Louisianians, and what you may be here, any one that's got common sense, that ever seen a vine grow, knowed that the vine does not bear fruit. The branches of the vine is what bears fruit, but it gets its life from the vine. Jesus is our resource of Life. Yes, sir. Now, we'll notice then if Jesus is the resource of our Life, that's He's the true Vine. The very life that's in the vine is in the branch. And if that vine puts forth a first branch, and that branch is--a bunch of grapes comes forth on it. If it ever puts forth another branch, it will be a bunch of grapes. It'll put forth another branch, it'll be a bunch of grapes. And it'll be the same kind of branch on to the end of the vine. O God. (Now, I need my half hour; just getting ready...?...) Amen.
Every time that vine puts forth a branch, it'll be like the first branch. Why? Because the life that's in the vine will put forth the same type of branch. If the first vine brought grapes, the next won't bring pumpkins. The next won't bring citrus fruit. And then, after while on down like that, it won't do it.
If the true vine puts forth a branch, and if Jesus is the Branch in the first, or, the Vine. And the first branch that brought forth, they wrote a book of Acts after it. Is that right? The Pentecostal church, the real Pentecostal church... And it wrote a book of Acts, with signs and wonders following the believer. If that real true Vine brings forth another true branch, they'll write a book of Acts behind it. Yes, sir.
